Wake Waters and a Goodbye to the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area (North Cascades National Park Service Complex) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: Captured looking to the northwest while on a boatride leaving Stehekin and the Lake Chelan National Recreation Area.
Wake Waters of the Lady of the Lake by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: The wake waters always seemed to have a wonderful and majestic view of mountains off in the distance on this ferry boat ride. For this image, I angled my SLR camera slightly downward in order to add more foreground of the wake waters, using it as a leading line to the mountain and peaks beyond… This was captured on a boat ride while in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest part of Lake Chelan.
A Ship's Wake and Mountain Peaks of the South Methow Mountains and North Chelan Mountains (Black & White) by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: I captured several images during this ferry boat ride across Lake Chelan while heading up to Stehekin. Here I converted the image to black & white using Silver Efex Pro 2 where I used some color filters to bring out a much richer tonal contrast for the final image, especially across the wake in the lake waters. This area is in the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest.
A Ship's Wake and Mountain Peaks of the South Methow Mountains and North Chelan Mountains by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: For this image, I angled my SLR camera slightly downward in order to capture more of the foreground and look across the ship's wake. In some ways, the wake in the waters added leading lines that would draw the eye to the mountain peaks far off in the distance on both sides of Lake Chelan.
In the Wake of My Travels in the Gulf of Mexico by Mark Stevens Via Flickr: During my voyage aboard the Yankee Freedom Ferry bound for Dry Tortugas National Park, I was captivated by the breathtaking scenery that presented itself as an ideal opportunity to capture an image. The location is situated just to the southwest of Key West, not too far from our departure point. The setting is with a view to the east-northeast and stern of the ship.

I captured this breathtaking setting with a view looking to the west and stern of the ship with the American flag, the ship’s wake in waters of the Gulf of Mexico, and the sun in the skies above as a focus in the image.
