this is an OLD WIP and it’s a little outdated by now. it’s gay what do you want from me  i’m still extremely fond of this one bit i’ve written from it, so here’s that. bad vibes man

He’s a gruesome crash, an alarmingly large pool of blood on pavement, a severed finger spotted in a storm drain, something distant and vaguely body-shaped, bobbing in the black waves in the dead of night. He is terribly cruel, sickeningly saccharine, and wickedly smart, a vulture hopping from corpse to corpse, murder to murder. He’s a frightening thing, all hunger and cold logic, brute force and unshakable determination. 

If only you could tear your eyes away.

total honesty full 100% disclosure..... i do not care for domestic AUs much. there are like one or two times i have ever made an exception in all my years of reading fanfic and i just

i want to say it's because it lacks the fantasy element that usually drew me to the source material in the first place? like a "who wants to read about a mundane situation when i could be reading about dragons" thing. but that doesn't hold up because i've seen ones that still kept the fantasy aspect of the source material and just reframed it into coffeeshop au and it STILL didnt get me interested

i guess it's not the fantasy so much as the drama? i think maybe it's the concept that a coffee shop au is by default really unlikely to include any life-or-death situations, or Extremely Heavy Emotional Baggage. i think a coffee shop AU generally presents itself as fairly light and sort of a softer version of the canon, but what i actually like is the sharp edges and the emotional strain etc etc?

i want a rollercoaster and a domestic coffeeshop au promises to be more of a hilly car ride

this probably goes for florist AUs and stuff too. also they tend to be oriented towards a singular ship! which is fine but i don't do much shipping and if i do i still wanna hear about the extended cast or else can you even say there's any context for the main blorbos yknow. this one less so though because i've seen that done well a lot more often

Currently Watching: i mean i just watched Turning Red yesterday. it was cute. cried a little. don’t see what all the fuss was about. i also have the last season of Final Space on my to-watch list but i keep putting it off for reasons unknown. it’s the procrastination brain worms

Currently Reading: Dracula, along with everyone else on this godforsaken website. i’m really enjoying it on a genuine “this book is actually fun to read” level

he's not my favorite for sure but (unpopular opinion) i really love steve. hes a dorky character with a goofy put-on sounding accent, and while he is annoying he's annoying in that 'edgy teenager trying too hard' way imo. i think code veronica deserves more love in general 😔

100% agree!!! I love steve too!! everyone forgets he was just a teenager and we all were annoying when teenagers haha also he was in jail for something he wasn't even involved!!!!!!! saw his parents die and become zombies and then ultimately suffered at umbrella's hands too :((( poor thing...

also yes never enough love for CV!!
