hello!! im loving all your headcanons about this show :))
really quite specific but have you any ideas about what happened to the cat Del got out of the walls? it's been bugging me since i first watched the ep. i really want her brother(i forget their names but the more aware one) to feed it, despite it not living in the house (their father would never allow it) the cat just appears each night for some food and it's his (not-so-well-kept) secret. sometimes it would come up to him purring during the day, and he tries to ignore and bluff his way out like some idiot, but everyone knows.
yeah, didn't realise i'd get so deep on it but love to know what you think about this small detail!
now why would I make a headcanon about this when you already have the best one
I am a really big fan of this idea and I think it's hilarious actually because this implies that the cat is basically haunting Teddy even after they move houses. Like it shows up one day when he's walking home and he gives it a pat and then tells it to go home. And then it fully just does not and he is being trailed home by this cat telling it to fuck off the whole road there
He goes inside and sits down in front of the TV and then like 30 minutes later Carl comes in like why is there a cat in the driveway? and Teddy's just like ffs I don't know
It's a roaming cat and it goes where it pleases but for some reason it pleases him to visit this house. Del doesn't know if it's the same cat, but she comes out and pets it when it's there. She starts leaving it some meat on a plate outside and Teddy yells at her for it because he (allegedly) doesn't want some stray hanging around and giving them diseases or something.
But then his sister runs off and the fucking cat is still there. They go to Florida and come back and there's gonna be an investigation on whether Bobby's fit to keep custody of Del which he's definitely not. In a few months she's gone and the cat is still fucking there.
And he's still pissy about it, but Teddy leaves it some food now that Del isn't around to do it. It keeps his peace of mind. I think in the same way Del wants to do something her mum would be proud of, the twins want to do something she'd be proud of.
