My artwork is derived from my upbringing in the sub-culture of graffiti. I spent many years working on and perfecting lettering that was laced with intricate and explosive color-fills. As time went on, I began to grow tired of the boundaries that the lettering provided and wanted to create art that moved past those walls, while still keeping the same energy and movement. You can still find accents of of the shapes and angles that compose a graffiti piece in my paintings. They've been deconstructed down to a form that is more free and open in my body of work.
