This piece is inspired by the subject of disassociation and the trouble experience of removing delusions. I created this shell-like structure to act as a wall that prevents the humanoid inside from viewing the world and truth is it exists around them. Within the shell, one is able to paint the reality that may or may not satisfy them. However, the shell cannot always withhold that growing life. The exposure to the truth is inevitable even if takes time, even if it’s just dipping one’s toes in first. It can be devastating like a wave storm, where instincts kick in for survival and comfort, false comfort.
