When Gaia talks with Madi about the flame and Madi says that she sees Clarke, Gaia says it's impossible since consciousness can only exist in one place at the time.
Then we get a video of Gabriel and Russel where they say that the host's consciousness is gone.
So when Clarke's consciousness will no longer be in Clarke's body, it will be possible for Madi to see her. Clarke will exist in the flame as did the previous commanders. Before she couldn't be both alive and in the flame. Now she can be in the chip.
Madi should've known ever since they "killed" Clarke. That's when Clarke's consciousness should exist in one place at the time a.k.a the flame. When she finds out, she will be the key.
Clarke will defeat the bodysnatch by having memories in the flame. She won't be truly gone as the previous hosts.
And as Lexa was speaking through Madi to help Clarke, now Clarke will be speaking through her to save her people. Her family.
