It really bothers me that my sibling compared me to her special needs/autistic students by saying my reaction to my triggers were “fake, attention-seeking, and controllable”, while her students had a reason to be triggered and to act a certain way.

Meanwhile, I suffer from physical, psychological, mental trauma from an unexpected childhood illness and reoccurring medical issues.

In addition, I have questioned whether or not I was on the spectrum or not because of my reactions to my triggers aren’t seen as “normal”, amongst other things

I guess this is the unfortunate and disgusting downside of having able bodied family memebers who really don’t know or care about disabled people
