Can we talk about how Eska and Bolin are like Andy and April’s self insert Avatar characters? They have the exact same dynamic of the lovable doofus and deadpan diva. She’s morbid, sarcastic, and bossy but only shows shows emotion or affection for their kind hearted goofy counterpart. Aubrey Plaza even voices Eska!

This happened a while ago. I think it was in late July. It might have been early August.

Anyway, basically what happened was that Eska brought Bolin to the North Pole with her, or he came up to visit her, or something (Dream logic is really unclear, especially with a dream that's about six months old). 

When they got there, she tried to bring him in to the NWT palace to meet her mother (this was, of course, long before we got the name "Malina," so she was just Mommy NWT to me). It was around here that my dream decided to have at least one realistic element, and decided that Desna was there with Eska and had been there all along. (???) 

So they arrived, and just as Malina walked into the room, Bolin threw up on Desna.

Understandably embarrassed by her mother's first impression of her boyfriend, Eska ran off and locked herself in a bathroom (which looked almost exactly like my bathroom because my subconscious is uncreative) so that she would not have to face her mother's disapproval.

Ultimately, somehow, she was coaxed out to try and smooth over the disaster that was everything that had just happened.

Bolin: (In an exhausted, but polite tone) "Oh Eska, I'm really going to miss you when you leave. It's been fun getting to know you."  

Eska: (usual deadpan) "What do you mean? You are coming with me to the North Pole to spend the rest of our days in icy bliss."  

I love Eska. She's best.
