Leo Fincher/Cross-X headcanons

Having been isolated at home, his parents would occasionally talk to each other in Russian so he wouldn’t understand, however after a few years he began to pick up a few words, though he can speak it to some extent, he cannot write nor read it.

He has a slight Russian accent, not notibale unless he shouts or yells.

He is 100% a cat person, he would name his cats (if he ever gets one) something nature like if they remind him of it, or depending on their personality as he isn't super creative with names.

He doesn't eat much due to his schizophrenia and due to simply not having a stable source of food, but if he manages to get past his schizophrenia and find some decent food, he'd definitely get a full fucking plate and not finish eating until he feels like he can't move.

Leo is creative when it comes to his kills, usually never repeating the same method twice if possible. He's definitely trying out different tools with each person.

He can get jealous, and not in the sense of romance, rather he gets jealous if someone takes his idea/plan and executes it—- he worries a little that maybe, just maybe they can read his mind.

Taunts officers or anyone of the law as a whole. He likes a good chase and either he is the one being chased or is the chaser, he especially enjoys the chase as it gives him a sense of being alive— he loves that rush.

He is a decent driver. After stealing so many cars he definitely knows his way around it and how to blend in. He might go for a crazy car chase or he might just cruise around at 3am driving around some wooded area enjoying the silence or maybe whatever CDs the person might have in the car he had stolen.

Leo can be stubborn when it comes into going to public places, either he's too cautious or simply wants to avoid people in general that day.

This is more of a ocxoc headcanon now:

Since Leo hangs around Autumn, she'd occasionally speak to herself in French or shout/yell in French. Leo has picked some French words up and occasionally uses it to refer to her or call her specifically.

Leo has a personal vendetta against Abbadon— not only because he's a cat person, but because he swears Abbadon is his schizophrenia getting a little too out of hand until Autumn begins interacting with it. No way in hell can some dog can grow or shrink like Abbadon does.

He leaves his crowbar out for Autumn to take every now and then. Prior to, he would wake up to Autumn trying to take his crowbar off him, eventually it leads with him leaving it next to him and him faining being asleep just to watch her get all giddy as she takes it for a quick murder spree. Either he stays and actually rests after she leaves, or he follows quietly behind to watch.

Leo mocks Autumn sometimes and tries to rile her up. Leo wants constant practice when it comes to fighting and he feels Autumn is in dire need of said practice as well; since she's too optimistic he feels the need to get her in that fighting, aggressive mood.

Who I think the crp would target pt.1

Ticci Toby:

Personally, I feel he would mostly target abusive parents, but if he's out and just bored out of his mind, he'll kill whoever he stumbled across. When ut comes to abusive parents, I feel he would be a bit stalkerish, he'll find a parent or an adult, stalk them for a few days, see how they handle life and treat their families, if he sees any forms of abusive in any manner, he'll go for their ass, at night, in broad daylight, he doesn't give a fuck.

Ben Drowned:

He wouldn't really kill people, but instead, electronics; he would be one of those viruses that you'd find on social media. Once he gets ahold of your device, it'll go haywire to start. Suddenly it'll reset and seem like nothing happened, however Ben would 100% love to mess with the person, opening random apps, turning on/off any alarms they might have, call random people in the contact list, etc. He would end up causing the person to go insane— be it or not his intention— to the point they probably kill themselves.

Jeff The Killer

Like Kuchisake-onna, I feel Jeff would wear a mask of some sort, go up to people, and ask if they think he's pretty, not matter what they say, he'll carve a smile into their face anyways. He just likes to do it. If ya run into him, group or alone, you'll most likely be found dead later on anyways. He likes to kill everyone he runs into

Eyeless Jack

He would kill whoever he finds on the Appalachian trail. He would definitely stalk them throughout their hikes and find a moment where their guard is down and can make one swift motion. He prefers a clean and quick murder. He would probably use his voice to trick people into getting closer - like that of a skinwalker or wendigo - and get them that way. Usually leaving the trails unbothered and a way to keep people coming without much worry.

Clockwork

Doctors, or psychward doctors. Just anyone in the medical field; they're what pretty much why she's kinda what she is now, she holds some sort of grudge, even if it wasn't entirely their fault. She especially hates those that work at psych wards because patients usually end up worse than they were when first arrival. She wants them all to feel what she felt and just understand the suffering they inflict on many people.

Jane The Killer

I feel she wouldn't really kill anyone, she's mostly going after Jeff so she's trying to mostly keep people safe, if that makes sense? But if she were to kill, it would probably be security. As bad as she may feel for doing so, it tends to happen that they get in her way to find and properly locate Jeff.

Nina The Killer

She just does it for fun. She kills whoever she wants to. She does prefer killing other serial killers, though, usually gives her a bit of a challenge, and she's always up for that.

He doesn't have a preference, he'll see a passer by and spike their drink with some crazy concoction he's created and watch as they slowly start dying whilst taking notes of the effects of said poison.

Sally

She goes for pedophiles and rapists. She tries to help kids when it comes to situations that she had gone through while she was alive, having two forms; she loves to terrorize these people and make them for crazy, though she doesn't like to get her hands dirty, she prefers making them believe they're hallucinating, which she probably can do. Usually driving the individual to commit suicide in probably the worst ways possible, as she likes to cause more damage when there's a higher chance of them committing.

Smile Dog:

Smile Dog would work with Ben for sure. As Ben is a virus; once your phone is "fixed" — you'll get a text from an unknown number. All you'll see is the phrase: Spread The Word, and an attachment, being the infamous smile Dog photo. If you stare at the image for too long, you will see things start to change. It'll look like a normal husky at first, and slowly, it will start to grow distorted. If you choose not to 'spread the word', you will begin to grow crazy, not only due to Ben's taunting, but every dog you see will have it distorted human like smile and bloodshot eyes. Ben and Smile Dog will drive you insane until you commit.

Liu:

Liu doesn't specifically have any targets. He would be more like a vigilante. Like Jane (in pt.1), he would be after his brother. He would probably not kill anyone else unless they got in his way for some odd reason.

Sonic.EXE & Tails Doll:

Sonic and Tails would be viruses; originally from corrupted games that were bought, they can access your computer files and make them unresponsive. All you would get are tabs filled with imagery of the two and random text. Usually causing the person to go mad into hallucinating the characters in such a distorted manner until they go insane and kill themselves. Usually, they end up leaving a note that seems to be like some type of message from the characters instead of the person.

Lulu:

She wouldn't necessarily kill, I feel she would probably use the corpses from previous murders if she finds them laying around. If she 'sees' someone with beautiful eyes, she will definitely grow jealous and kill them for their eyes. She definitely has an eye collection somewhere. She'd probably torture her victims by scooping out their eyes in a slow fashion, just to have a bit more fun.

Laughing Jack:

Laughing Jack would target children, luring them into dark locations with sweets and toys, promising a fun day only for them to be killed in gruesome and unimaginable ways. He would probably try to trick parents into letting their kids stay with him, dress as a colorful clown only for the color to fade as soon as they are out of sight.

Leo x Y/N

Leo walked through the snow, chest puffed out as if they cold didn't bother him, Autumn struggling behind due to the strong winds.

"We need to find some shelter." Autumn grumbled, Leo glanced over at her before rolling his eyes and continued to move forward before he suddenly heard a loud shriek. He rushed over to find Y/N.

"Are you ok?" Leo quickly made it next to Y/N, holding his hand out for her to take.

"I think so..." She managed with her soft, gentle voice. Immediately, Leo was smitten. He swept her off her feet, staring into her Y/E/C orbs, that beautifully reflected the snow falling around them with the little sun they caught. Y/N clung onto Leo's jacket as he carried her ahead.

"You're s-so strong!" Y/N stammered from the cold, Leo looked down at her and smirked.

"All in a days work, babe," He winked. Y/N blushed and giggled. Autumn managed to catch up soon and raise a brow at the two ahead of her. Soon enough, Leo felt Y/N trembling in his strong arms, piping up he growled, "We need shelter."

"I already said that.." Autumn grumbled to herself.

"I-i-its so c-cold..." Y/N's small frame trembled terribly as they continued their walk. She cuddled closer to Leo, who tried to block her from the harsh winter.

As if story logic was on their side, they soon stumbled upon a decent cabin in the snowy woods. Autumn rushed ahead and tried the doorknob, of course, locked. She began messing with the lock until she managed to somehow crack it open, Leo sped up and ran inside with Y/N, Autumn tried to follow suit but as soon as Leo set Y/N down on the couch he went over to the door and pushed Autumn out, closing the door behind him and leaving her outside in the blizzard.

Autumn huffed and hugged herself as she started grumbling, she chose to simply sit on the porch.

"W-who was that?" Y/N soon asked as Leo was kneeling down by the fire place, poking at the logs as they tried to spread the fire.

"Nobody, just some person who chose to leach off me like a parasite." He shrugged. Y/N seemed to immediately hate that response, though barely knowing the guy before her, she huffed and felt the need to get this person away from her Leo.

"She seems annoying." Y/N grumbled

"She is." Leo agreed. Soon, the logs caught on fire and Leo sat next to Y/N, he wrapped an arm around her and she immediately blushed. Leo looked at her, her face illuminating softly with the fire light. Y/N glanced up to meet his gaze, her Y/E/C sparkled. Leo couldn't seem to keep his eyes off her and neither could she, as the warm light hit his hair, it made him look almost ethereal? Y/N soon looked away, her face heating up even more.

"You're so small..." He spoke softly, causing her to look up at him. "I'll protect you, I promise..." his voice soft yet firm as he reached over and grabbed her small hands in his. "Whoever dares lay a hand on you has to face me first." He growled. Her heart skipped a beat at his words. She scooted closer to him while he pulled her into a hug.

Meanwhile, Autumn continued to shiver and freeze outside the cabin door, however now accompanied by Abbadon, who curled up next to her.

Leo and Y/N drifted off to sleep, holding each other, Y/N snuggling against his chest while Leo held onto her with his strong arms as if afraid she would be ripped away from his grasp.

The sun soon rose and shone through the window, the fire was now out as the two continued to snuggle together. Y/N awoke and could only blush when she realized who held onto her, Leo soon awoke as well and simply smirked as he looked down at her.

"Morning" He muttered.

"M-Morning..." she stammered nervously.

They got up and ready to travel out as the blizzard soon stopped. Leo opened the door and held it for Y/N. She stepped out only to spot Autumn and Abbadon cuddling in the snow. Y/N growled and kicked some snow at her, causing her to jolt awake.

"What the hell!?" She shrieked, earning a giggle from Y/N.

"Are you trying to stalk my...." Y/N trailed off realizing she never got his name.

"You're what?" Autumn raised a brow.

"Boyfriend!" she shouted, red faced.

"Boyfriend, yet you don't even know his name.... tsk, tsk." Autumn shook her head before she dusted off the snow that clung to her hood. She stood up, which caused Abbadon to stand up as well before walking off.

"You're just jealous he wants me!" Y/N shouted, Leo finally standing next to her nodding; Autumn froze and slowly turned to look at Y/N with a look of pure disgust.

"Ladies, please—" Leo started as his ego got a huge boost, in his mind the two women were about to argue over who he wants.

"Girl, I don't even want his ugly ass. You can have him." Autumn waved off as she turned and walked off. Y/N stood there a bit surprised, Leo too was stunned to speak as he felt his ego slightly falter. He huffed before pushing out his chest.

"Still! Mess with us, and I'll kill you!" Y/N called out. Autumn spun around with a smile.

"I wanna see you try." She taunted, "If you're all about being some small girl, I bet you'd just tell Leo to fight for you." She rolled her eyes and huffed. Leo growled at her comment before hugging Y/N.

"I'll gladly fight this bitch for you..." He whispered.

"You're so brave" Y/N whispered a praise which only boosted his ego once again.

Reunion

Leo stood against the fence, watching as the lady walked out her house and into her yard, a small black cat following behind her. He'd been watching her and her family for 3 months— not wanting another police chase to happen like it did prior…

Leo had been searching for the infamous Hacksaw since she had disappeared, he could care less where she went but for some reason it ate him up inside to know if she was even still alive. He had originally found an albino lady who he had mistaken for Hacksaw, but ended up with a few cop cars chasing him down for a few hours before he managed to lose them; now here he stood, watching as this lady watered her garden. He knew he indeed had finally found her.

“Well… if it isn't the infamous Hacksaw” Leo spoke up, catching the lady's attention.

“I don't… know what you're talking about—” She responded rather quickly as she turned to look at the source of the voice only to frown once she saw him. “Oh, it's you.” She grumbled, something about simply seeing him again made her body urk with disgust and frustration.

“Awe~ someone doesn't seem too happy to see little ol’ me. I'm hurt. And here I looked for you to—”

“Why are you here?.” She asked, the water from the hose trickled down her arms as she crossed them over her chest.

“Just wanted to see what dear old Autumn was up to.” The lady tensed up at the name, visibly uneasy.

“Don't call me that, that's not my name any longer.” She pointed the hose at Leo who seemed to slightly duck behind the fence as a precaution. “My name is Dawn.” She corrected him.

“Dawn? The fuck type of name is that? Like the dish soap?” He snorted, Dawn simply groaned

“I suggest you leave now. My kids are home and I don't want them seeing—”

“How are Cyrus and Artemis? They doing alright?” Leo suddenly asked, Dawn’s eyes widened before she grew angry.

“How the hell do you know their fucking names?” She muttered, her tone harsh. Leo simply shrugged. “Get the fuck away from my house, you're disgusting.” Leo stood silent before he began to protest.

“I did not mean it like that! I meant I was watching for a while and overheard you and that lousy husband of yours call them by name!”

“Lousy!? Cole is a very good husband first of all-”

“But, does he treat you like I did?” Leo joked.

“Absolutely not. You're— you're psychotic. Cole is sweet, welcoming, and caring; something you lost long ago.” Dawn spoke bitterly. Leo wasn't amused. Suddenly, he hopped over the fence, staggered back before he caught himself and stood before Dawn.

“Listen here you little shit.” Leo spat, “I could care less if you yourself were in a shithole right now. I just wanted to see where you went as you never told me. I treated you just fine when we were together.” He shoved her back with every word he spoke.

“Together? You barely spoke to me, you barely acknowledged my existence. I tried so hard to even get to know you a little, you wanted normalcy and when I tried to give you normalcy you pushed it away because it felt ‘too foreign’.” Dawn made air quotes as she spoke. “You could have cared less, hell, I don't even know why I spent 3 to 4 years with you when I should've left long ago and done this so much earlier. For fucks sakes Leo, you just wanted a world that fit your standards, but that's not going to fucking happen! Now, I suggest you leave before my husband gets back, and you pretend I never existed in your life.” Dawn protested, shoving Leo til his back was against the fence. Leo scoffed, pushing Dawn away and hopping over the fence.

“This isn't fucking over, Autumn.” Leo warned before he hurried over towards the woods. Dawn stood there, her head pounding after that interaction. She closed her eyes and took a deep breath. She turned to face the house and saw her children peeking out of a window, she froze for a second before she motioned for them to come outside. They scurried out, the youngest jumping onto her mother, whilst the oldest looked at her.

“Who was that?”

“A very, very old acquaintance.” Dawn sighed, “Don't worry, he won't be visiting anymore.” She smiled as she reached over and ruffled Cyrus’ hair.

“Should we tell dad?” Cyrus asked, he reached up and grabbed his mom's hand.

“mm… maybe not, I don't want him trying to get hurt looking for them. And like I said, he won't bother us anymore.” She reassured, Cyrus hesitated for a second but smiled and nodded. Artemis yawned as she clung to Dawn, resting her head on her mother's shoulder. “Someone's ready for their nap.” Dawn spoke softly, she headed inside, Cyrus following behind as well as the small black cat. “I'll make you a snack after I put your sister to bed, ok?” Cyrus grinned, nodding eagerly as he plopped onto the couch and waited patiently for his mom to return.

Hey Stranger

The coffee shop buzzed with busy people, the bittersweet aroma of coffee and pastries filled the air, the plants that hung around were covered in water droplets from when they were last watered. Students entered in a rush to get a cup of coffee or a quick treat. Men and women rushed in before a late shift at work, hoping they could still make it in time.

A certain ginger sat at his usual table, his laptop propped open with his coffee resting next to it. He adjusted his glasses as he tried to focus on his studies, only, it seemed like a difficult task for him this time. He let out a heavy sigh before closing his laptop and looking out the window. He watched as birds flew by, dogs rushed by as they chased a ball or managed to break free from their leash— he couldn’t help but let out a chuckle when he saw the owner's faces when they realized.

The cafe door bells rang constantly so he didn’t pay any mind when a certain girl walked in. She went up to the line and waited as she scanned the menu. It's been a year or so since she's been there and the menu has changed a decent amount. She finally reached the register before she greeted the lady there.

“I'll take a mocha, medium please!” She smiled sweetly while the lady smiled back and punched in her order.

“That'll be 12.78, cash or card?”

“Card.” The girl answered as she held up her card. The lady nodded and booted up the small card scanner to process the transaction.

“Does the tip go to you or is it split?” She asked as she looked up from the small screen.

“It's split." The lady answered, receiving a nod from the girl. She added a custom tip of 20 and paid for her drink, she then pulled out her purse and handed the lady a $10 bill.

“This is for you, hope you have a lovely day” She smiled before stepping out of line to wait for her drink. The lady at the register seemed stunned but soon returned to her job at hand.

The ginger sipped his coffee before he took a deep breath and opened his laptop back up, he clicked a few tabs and went back to work— feeling mentally refreshed— he set his coffee to the side once again and got to work, typing away.

“Hey there stranger, long time no see!” A cheery voice broke the boy's concentration, he let out a heavy sigh as he looked up only to see the white haired girl before him.

“Oh. It's you. What are you doing here?”

“I can’t come in for a cup of coffee anymore?” She asked before taking a sip of her coffee— forgetting it was freshly brewed— she made a face as she quickly sat her cup down and stuck her tongue out, “fuck…” she cursed as she fanned her tongue. The other couldn’t help but laugh lightly.

“Still stupid as ever, I see.” He joked as he closed his laptop again.

"Shut up!" she whined, finally she reached down, took the cap off her cup and started blowing her coffee like crazy. Leo couldn't help but lightly laugh at the situation before him. "so... how have you been?"

"Been ok" He shrugged, "still in school and can't seem to do this project..."

"Probably because all you've been doing was thinking about me" Autumn teased, "wondering when your girl would return" she laughed.

"Hm, well I must admit I was debating on even texting you." Leo responded as he sipped his coffee and laid back against his chair.

"Yeah! why didn't you?" Autumn asked as she grabbed her own cup and took a careful sip, she beamed as she realized it had cooled down well. "I was expecting at least a 'hello' text to or ask how I was." She rolled her eyes as she drank her coffee.

"Yeah well—" Leo paused as he had no good excuse, "I got occupied with my studies. Psychology is a tricky subject you know." He muttered.

"That's such a lame excuse." Autumn cringed.

"I know," Leo sighed. "I was nervous, I guess. I don't know? Why would you— a super energetic girl— wanna hang out or even talk to a 'nerd' like myself?"

"You're stuck on those school clichés, oh lord. Listen—" Autumn set her cup down and rested both her hands on the table. "I don't care what these cliques are. I'm just a girl and you're just a guy." She shrugged, "I think you're interesting and that's it."

"But—"

"End of story." Autumn huffed.

"Alright.. say— do you wanna go somewhere?" Leo asked sheepishly which caused Autumn to gasp.

"Are you asking me out? jee stranger, we're not that close now!" She joked as she laughed.

"Haha, very funny." He muttered as he leaned forward and rested his head on his hand. "Just figured you'd like to look around the area..." He shrugged. Autumn smiled and nodded.

"Sure, but where to?" Autumn asked as she drank the last bit of her coffee and set it back down on the table.

"What are your thoughts on aquariums?" He asked.

"...are you sure you're not trying to just ask me out?" she joked again but nodded, "I love the idea, let's go!" She smiled. Leo rolled his eyes as he began to pack up his laptop and other belongings.

"You're gonna be the death of me, I can already tell." He muttered, to which Autumn simply smiled.

They made their way out of the buzzing coffee shop, Autumn spotted her dad and tugged on Leo's bag to get his attention.

"Lemme tell my dad so he can go ahead to where he needs to go." Leo nodded before following her over to meet with her dad.

"Papa, je vais à l'aquarium avec mon ami. Je peux te retrouver plus tard ce soir." Her dad looked over at her and smiled.

"C'est bon, reste juste en sécurité, ok?" Autumn nodded in response. He looked at Leo and spoke in broken English. "Bring back safe, I find you if not." He muttered before laughing, "Joking! have fun and be safe." He smiled, Leo grew slightly nervous but nodded.

"She'll be safe... don't worry”

An Ultimate Demise

The wind blew softly, the snow was finally melting in Canada as spring continued to flourish. Autumn was chatting away at absolutely no one in particular whilst Leo seemed to be absent-mindedly glancing around.

“Also my dad taught me how to make the finer details using different tools so even if I didn't have my carving tools I could use a spoon… even though it would probably start bending after a few minutes it's still something for very few details” Autumn rambled as she continued her story; rustling suddenly caught their attention, making them both look over at the bushes on their left.

“Quiet.” Leo muttered, Autumn just nodded, she reached over and grabbed her chainsaw's handle in case she'd have to use it, Leo's hand too rested on his crowbar. The rustling persisted until out came this black giant dog, horns spiraled around its ears like that of a goat, multiple white eyes stared at them, sharp teeth could be noticed as it growled before it jumped out onto Autumn.

“Dammit, Abbadon!” Autumn giggled as it began licking her face like a dog. Leo froze staring at the creature before he managed to calm himself down, he could swear up and down his mind was playing tricks on him again but he had seen Autumn touch this thing every time. “Who's a good boy!” Autumn cooed, she managed to push Abbadon off just enough for her to stand back up. Leo scoffed, almost as if trying to let Autumn know that he wanted to keep going.

Abbadon followed closely behind the two, causing Leo to feel highly uneasy and was on high alert, glancing over his shoulder every now and then. Every few times he did he could swear he saw Abbadon's jaw unhinged and almost size Autumn up, as if it wanted to consume her. The one who found and practically helped it when it was close to death.

Leo would glance at Autumn who seemed blissfully unaware as she hummed to herself.

“How can you keep that thing with you?”

“Abbadon and I made a truce back when I first ran into him. He tried to kill me but I managed to fight him off enough until it practically surrendered, since then he would just follow and I'd feed him the bodies if I killed someone.”

“So… a type of exchange… life for life?” Autumn nodded, Leo hummed quietly, taking the information into mind. He looked back over his shoulder at Abbadon who was now full on staring at him. Leo stared at its soulless eyes, the feeling of unease heavily on his chest as his mind became hazy. Autumn looked over at Leo and seemed to realize something was going on.

“Hey— do you wanna stop and rest? you look like shit” She muttered more so suggesting than asking. Leo shook his head but Autumn grabbed his hand and led him over to the nearest tree, forcing him to sit on the ground. She sat across from him and continued to hold his hands. “Breathe, ok?”

Leo looked up from their hands to see Autumn, he shut his eyes, trying to shake it off.

“I'm fine..” Leo muttered.

“You look pale,” Autumn retorted.

“You.. saw what Abbadon did? right??” Leo gripped Autumn's hands as he looked over her shoulder at the cryptid. “Please tell me you did..”

“What? What did Abbadon do?” Autumn looked over her shoulder, to see Abbadon just sitting there. Leo felt his heart sink, was he really going insane again?

“It— nevermind…” Leo muttered as he looked away and pulled his hands away from Autumn's.

“Are you seeing things again? like it's acting up?” Autumn tried to sound like she cared but with Leo's reaction it seems she came off differently.

“I'm not crazy. These things…” He muttered.

“Leo… I know, I know.. listen, I'm just concerned, you were fine now— you got used to Abbadon, did he do something?” Leo looked up at Autumn with a frown, who only let out a sigh, “Let's just rest, ok? Nothing's going to happen..” Autumn commented softly, she reached out and grabbed his hand again, causing him to flinch slightly. “Relax, we're ok” Leo sighed and nodded, he couldn't help but keep glancing over Autumn's shoulder, seeing how it began to grow with each passing second.

“It grows..?” Leo piped up as he continued to watch Abbadon.

“Abbadon?” Leo nodded, “yeah, he grows with fear— or if he eats” Autumn shrugged. “Just calm down and try to breathe ok? Abbadon might get too big if you don't” Autumn joked trying to lighten the tension. Leo looked at her, he closed his eyes and took a deep breath. When he reopened them, his eyes grew wide as he noticed Abbadon was right above them.

Abbadon's jaw unhinged and its mouth widened to its full extent until an audible crunch snapped Leo out of his worries, he jumped slightly when he felt something land on his face. He reached up and wiped it off before looking down at his hand to see it was blood. He looked back up, expecting to see Autumn with a smile or even a concerned expression but all he could see was her body missing its head. Abbadon threw the head up into the air before it caught it and began chewing on it. The crunching and crushing sounds filled the area.

Leo quickly managed to get up, and while Abbadon was occupied eating Autumn's now lifeless body, he took the chance and ran. Laughter filled his head as he ran. The image of her body etched in his brain. Finally when he managed to create some distance due to how eerily quiet it became he fell to his knees, his breathing heavy as he clutched his chest. His eyes wide as his eyes filled with tears, the laughter in his head only continued til it grew deafening. He gripped his head with his hands, the want— no need to tear away at his head to try and silence it was overwhelming.

“Leo!?” Leo’s head snapped upright as he heard a familiar voice. “Leo! Where did you go!?” The voice rang out again. “Leo! Say something if you hear me!” The voice got closer, the heavy sound of footsteps grew nearer. Leo looked around and found Abbadon running towards him, he suddenly got up ready to run before he heard the voice again. “Leo! Wait!” Leo froze and looked back over his shoulder, seeing Autumn on Abbadon’s back. Leo’s eyes widened, he turned around but stumbled back a bit, Abbadon suddenly stopped. Autumn swung herself off of him and ran over to Leo quickly grabbing his hands and pulling him closer to her. “Leo, you scared me!” She whisper-shouted as she shook him violently. Leo only stared at Autumn, his body tensed up as he tried to register what was going on. Abbadon sat down watching the two while Autumn suddenly hugged Leo, “You ass! I thought you got mad at me!- or that I said something, you ran off like I scared you or something!” Autumn shouted, though muffled due to her face being practically buried in his hood. Was she– crying? Leo pushed Autumn off of himself and stared at her face, her eyes were already puffy as she sniffled.

“Are you…”

“Crying? Yea–”

“Real?” The question caught Autumn by surprise.

“What?- Of course I am, you’re–” Autumn paused, realizing what he meant.

“Leo– what did you see?” Autumn whispered as she let her hands finally drop to her sides.

“Abbadon it– you— you’re real? You’re alive? You’re fine??” He asked as he looked her up and down. Autumn sighed and repeated her question. “Leo, what did you see?”

“Abbadon it.. It stood over you and then it bit your head off, blood splurged from your neck and then it began eating you– I just ran.. I didn’t” Leo hated recounting it but he stared at Autumn as he did so incase him looking away would cause something worse to happen. Autumn stayed silent before she reached over and grabbed his hands.

“It's ok, I’m alive.. I’m fine, see?” Without thinking she brought one of Leo’s hands over to her chest, she pressed his hand on her chest where he could feel her heartbeat. “I’m real” She whispered before she pulled him into a hug, “You scared the shit out of me with that..” she muttered out again. Leo sighed as he slowly hugged Autumn as well, a wave of relief of it all having been his mind again.

Autumn thanked the man who handed her her coffee, taking the lid off she blew on it slightly before taking a sip, “yummy~” she smiled to herself, she looked around the busy cafe to find a spot to sit and relax. Her eyes landed on an empty seat across a ginger. Quickly, she sped over, her shoes clicking against the floor until she made her way over and sat down.

Leo heard shuffling and suddenly felt he was being stared at, he picked his head up and looked away from his laptop to see some girl sitting across from him, he was confused but chose not to say anything; instead he looked back down at his laptop and continued to type away at his essay.

“Hello” A voice piped up, Leo looked up to see the girl smiling, “I’m Autumn, what's your name?” Leo stayed silent for a while, debating whether to talk to her or not.

“Leo..” he muttered, she simply smiled before raising a brow.

“I’m sorry?” She seemed confused, not having heard him the first time.

“Leo, my name…” he spoke up a little more, enough for her to hear him.

“Nice to meet ya Leo” she smiled, her accent thick compared to how he spoke. He simply nodded, Autumn stayed quiet for a second, taking a sip of her coffee. “So, what do you do? I’m helping my dad with his business. We’re from Alberta so all this traveling is a bit new to me” she began, smiling sheepishly as she mentioned never having traveled before. Leo simply closed his laptop and looked at her with a raised brow. “I’m not sure how far we’ll go but I do think we’re hitting every province til we head back home, looking to sell some carvings or find potential clients.” She set her coffee down, Leo simply looked her up and down.

“Carvings?” he finally spoke up, she definitely didn’t look the type to make some type of carving.

“Yeah, wood carvings, my dad runs a business, its pretty fun and not to brag or anything, but we have some really good carvings” Autumn grinned pridefully.

“Is that so?” Leo asked doubtfully, “You definitely just sit and watch, huh? At least talk to people? You don’t—”

“Look like I do carvings?? Why?? Am I too delicate looking” she asked before bursting into laughter, Leo looked away growing slightly flustered.

“You just seem like the talkative one.. not the one to be hands on”

“Never judge a girl by the dress she wears” Autumn smiled, “sure, I wear dresses, I like to try and look cute,” she took a sip of her coffee before tucking her red strand behind her ear, “but I do enjoy a bit of fun when it comes to wood work, of course I don’t wear dresses then, but its always going to be something I enjoy doing. I can show you a few of my pieces?” Autumn pulled her phone out of her bag and typed something before facing it to him. He seemed a bit impressed as he reached up and swiped through a few pictures.

“Impressive” Leo muttered, causing Autumn to simply grin with pride.

“I made most of these, its pretty fun!- oh! Reminds me, my dad and I will be at the local farmer’s market, if you wanna see me in action you can pass by and watch me carve a few things in front of an audience” she set her phone down and drank her coffee again.

“I’ll think about it, I’m a little booked for this evening” Leo opened his laptop back up before he began typing.

“School? Damn, I just graduated highschool and don’t intend on going into college” She sighed, “I would rather help my dad with work, ya know?” Leo nodded.

“Education isn’t for everyone, but if you got the basics down, you should be fine enough”

“What’s that supposed to mean–” Autumn asked, confused as she set her now empty coffee cup down.

“Nothing at all” Leo chuckled before he suddenly closed his laptop again. “So, you said you–” Suddenly Autumn’s phone went off, she picked it up and looked up at Leo.

“Sorry, I gotta get going.” She smiled apologetically before she got up and turned to leave before she stopped and turned to look at Leo again, quickly she grabbed a pen he had and a napkin and began writing on it before sliding it over to Leo.

“See you around, stranger” she smiled before she grabbed her empty cup and ran out of the cafe, leaving a confused and slightly disappointed Leo. He looked down at the napkin to see she had written her number. He sighed before he grabbed the napkin and shoved it into his bag, opening up his laptop and continued his essay.
