Peeking his head out, he gasped. Standing at the doorway, was his little sister. Tears of joy formed in his eyes. He walked over to her, pace turning into a fast walk.

As soon as he was close enough, he pulled her in for a hug.

Okay but I offer you this. Anti didn't want his bear decapitated. But one day he got into a fit of rage and was stabbing and slashing random things blindly but never noticed the strewn stuffing everywhere. He got really upset, big droppy black tears streaming down his cheeks. So he tries to hide it so dark can't find what he's done but Jack mistook it for a toy for the children and it got wrapped. Anti was simply looking for his bear on the stream, hence he last after it was located.

I can see that! Anti makes a lot of irrational decisions, (especially when he’s upset) and Dark usually keeps him in line. When he lashes out and cuts up the bear Dark got him, he’d definitely try to hide it so he doesn’t “get in trouble” XD

Imagine Ernest having a really bad fear of clowns. On Halloween, IT comes on and he tries to play it cool. He gets really scared, he keeps having nightmares so he goes to sneak into his dad's room but Hugo is still up reading Cujo. Ernest shuffles over and lays on the bed. Facing away from Hugo, Hugo just pets his hair and hands him a teddy bear which he doesn't accept until Hugo falls asleep.

Imagine Ernest repeating his sleeping in Hugo’s bed for a few more days. Every time, he sneaks in and acts like Hugo is asleep, even when he obviously isn’t. Each time, Hugo pets his hair and hands over the teddy bear.

Imagine then, one day, Hugo comes back home from school and Ernest made him dinner. He left a note just saying ‘thanks, dad’. Hugo laminates it and hides it in his bedside table.

Y'know what. I have a hc that bc Ernest smokes he has an oral fixation and still sucks his thumb. After dadsona comes into their lives Ernest becomes more used to being in the family cuddle pile, one day falling asleep and this is when Hugo makes the discovery. It's almost endearing but neither bring it up.

I’m sure it’ll remind Hugo of little kid!Ernest and he’ll have a “why do they grow up so fast?!” moment that Dadsona will find absolutely adorable
