It's been a long time since I made this old line up of everyone in the circus. I never even really finished it, but I honestly do want to redo/update it anyway...Seeing as I can draw everyone better by now. But what I DID do last month is do updated bust shots of everyone who is (at some point!) part of the circus!

So for everyone who is a fan of Clipped Wings, here you go! And for everyone who hasn't started reading it, or wants to read the updated book 1 while it's currently out of print, you can find it here! (Hopefully I'll have it back in print soon!)

It may seem silly and a little like putting the cart before the horse, but I almost always start a story with putting together my “dream cast.”

It may seem silly and a little like putting the cart before the horse, but I almost always start a story with putting together my “dream cast.” After a few of those random details that indicate the first rumblings of a new plot fall out of my head and onto a scrap of paper somewhere, I usually try to narrow down my characters’ appearance and other physical attributes. I am a very visual thinker and imagining my stories playing out in my mind’s eye like a film helps me to give my story structure and focus on the important details.
