A perfect pairing!
[ID: Text reads a Perfect Book Pairing. A study table in a library set with two very fancy place settings all in Normandy Sunset Carnival glass, complete with candlesticks (red candles) and a vase of pinecones and holly in the middle. On the plate of one setting is a DVD copy of The Nightmare before Christmas. Text appears which reads If you liked this...
A grinning woman sits at the table, tucks a napkin into her shirt, and picks up the knife and fork, eagerly awaiting her meal. Another woman approaches with a bowl that matches the place settings and sets it atop the DVD. The bowl contains a copy of Terry Pratchett's The Hogfather. Text appears that reads Then you'll LOVE this.
An animated chef's head appears next to the book and does a chef's kiss. END ID]
These are from a display at one of the local libraries in my area. Whenever I see these match ups I laugh so much! It always makes me smile.
The books on the left are by the same author so It’s not a complete surprise that they are paired together, but the ones on the right have different authors so it makes it all the more fun that this collection pairs them up.
If there are two things in this world I like, it’s books and beer. When I can combine the two by sitting on the porch in the warm evening, sipping a cold one while I read a book and wiggle my bare toes, that is a special kind of heaven. Beer, particularly craft beer, has a unique flavor and tone–just like well-written books. So what would match up?
As a note, I live in Colorado, which has a phenomenal number of local and microbreweries. Because I believe that good books deserve good beer, I’ll be drawing from that pool of delicious goodness. So if you can’t find the beer, well, at least you should be able to still get the books through your local library, bookstore, or just order them online.

Q19: What recipe would pair well with the favorite book you've read?
~Poor Man's Stew~
I paired this one with a book I read a while back called:
I felt that when I read this book, some how it reminded me of that "Poor Man's Stew," a simple recipe that also pairs well with a delicious piece of bread. Haha.
