I think post SAS, they would take it a little more seriously. Like Taako would get him some kind of spell book or share some kind of recipe, Merle might take him on a cool adventure with his own kids, and Magnus would make some kind of puzzle box. Hi! I'm working on a historical fiction project and I was wondering where you were able to find resources on clothing, social norms, and other not well known items. Google isn't doing much to help, I'm afraid. Thank you in advance!

Costuming: Racinet’s Costume History and the Osprey books are good places to start, although they have inaccuracies.

Social norms: I’m not always great at that; mostly stuff comes up in research about the figure in question, or visual research, or I know it from other entries. A lot of the time I’ll be doing a comic entry and wonder, “what did street cars look like in 1920s Sydney?” and that will take me down a research hole, from which I’ll learn a lot of stuff. Having to think about how to draw each individual piece of a drawing is helpful in that regard.

Beyond that: I have a small collection of historians and costumers who’ve offered their help, and when I’m far enough ahead in my work that I can budget in time to contact them and get a response, they’ve been very helpful. :)

Hello! If you could bring a companion from New Vegas to the real world to be your companion, who would it be?

OH this is a cute question, though I’d say none of them because everyone’s a special kind of fuck show tbh.

If I HAD to pick though definitely Raul. I don’t even need to think about this, absolutely 100% Raul, he’s my favourite by far out of the games I’ve played, ED-E as an extremely close second. If we’re talking humanoid companions only then Nick Valentine instead of ED-E. I’m a pretty solitary person so I don’t like non animal companionship for long periods but I think I’d be able to handle a snarky old dude gently and sarcastically telling me how much I’ve fucked up any time I do things.

(I JUST realised this is NV specific bc apparently reading isn’t one of my goddamn tagged skills but listen, I like Nick a lot ok.)
