QOTD: What's your mood today? Tell me one thing you're going to do to take care of yourself today. It is the last day of October and I have finished exactly one book but I'm in the middle of four different books as we speak. This month has just been alot and too much at the same time. Recovering from this surgery is absolutely draining me and sleep alludes me every night. It has all made me realize that I'm running on empty and it is time to recharge. My anxiety would tell me I'm being selfish for wanting to do absolutely nothing but try to sleep. But the after therapy wiser me knows that if I don't take care of me, then who will when I'm completely broken. It's Monday and it already feels like Friday. I'm surrounded by books almost everywhere I step in my apartment and the last thing I want to do is read. I need sleep. That's it! That's all I got! What book is filled with quotes you can’t get enough of? ⚔️ There are so many books I love, but Red Rising has to be in my top five faves. @piercebrownofficial writing is so savagely beautiful. Beyond the amazing layers of meaning, the scope of his worlds, the subtle nuance of political intrigue, and some seriously kickass characters, the writing is both dark and hopeless while being full of promise and hope. It seriously makes my black heart swoon! ⚔️ What do you guys do with your patches? I have a few, like this one from @fairyloot and I LOVE them. But I have no ideas on where to actually attach them. I don’t really carry a backpack anymore, though I have one for travel. And I don’t wear jackets, or even own a jean jacket, now that I think about it 🤔 so I’m not exactly sure what to do with these glorious pieces of miniature art. My Plain Jane was SUCH a fun read~! If you’re looking for a lighthearted comedic read, seriously pick up this book. This is a retelling of Jane Eyre….but with a twist or a hundred thrown in. It’s not the story you know. . I will preface this by saying I have never read #JaneErye and I enjoyed this story completely! It's perfect for the #spooky season of October too ;) (There may be ghosts involved.) 👻This is also a standalone so you don't have to have read "My Lady Jane" before this - two totally different Janes. . And yeah, maybe I went into a #graveyard to take this photo. #bookstagramproblems . The audiobook was perfect and read in a British accent~ you can all see my American self swooning from here over British accents lol. Definitely recommend this book for a fun read. .
