Todays sesh inc: 1) 6 Min time trial to produce a Metres/Second result for aerobic capacity. We will use this to create a #strengthandconditioning program to help Ali achieve her goal of running 18km again. 2) 10 x Shuttle Runs of 50-100m of mixed Dynamic exercises in forward motion, with a random whistle blow to instantly turn & sprint back on the sand to start. Without rest, commencing the next shuttle run & exercise. 10 full sets = rest for 3 minutes. 3) Body weight strength training: Planks, Hands to Shoulders, Oblique side pulses (brutal on sand), Lunges, Goblet Squats with pause holds. 4) Lunge to Squat superset 👏 Warm down included a 1.5km walk +stretches. ***Beach training plays such an important role in strengthening our joints retraining our tendons and ligaments to support our muscles and bones. With the stability required in each exercise it forces us to use more muscle within our body to work harder breathe harder and sweat harder. It produces better results within our connective tissue and and increases bone density. When you do it the night after a full moon while listening to the breaking of waves it can be an instant meditative affect. Kicked ass Ali well done!
