oh dear. so i have another tumblr British friend, and they were very displeased with how the vote went today. about bombing syria. they're afraid there will be retribution for that. and they're saying London is probably going to be bombed around Christmas. and also that there were 7 attempted bombings this year. which sounds really scary. so uh. my condolences on your government joining my government in this fuckery, and stay safe!
honestly i’m so upset with how this vote has gone. fucking mps cheering as the vote passed to bomb both terrorists and innocent people alike. we’re now at war, again, despite all the lessons the iraq war should have taught us. “fuckery” is right. our pm can go fuck himself, calling those of us who oppose the bombing “terrorist sympathisers”, like yeah we’d rather make sure you’ve got a long term plan rather than just calling in the military.
yeah apparently there were at least 7 plots foiled by the intelligence services this year, which would worry me more if i wasn’t concerned for all the people who will now die as a result of this vote. we’re no more at risk of being attacked than if we’d voted against it though, we were always high on the list. well at least we’re all in the madness together now smh.

Favorite dish you only ever want to eat in a restaurant because no one prepares it quite like them? (or is that just me?) I honestly can’t think of anything that I prefer from only one specific restaurant, but I will go to this restaurant for its yellow curry or that restaurant for its samosas.

Do you still have posters hanging on your walls? (come on, describe them) The only one is a framed Fight Club poster. Sure, I don’t love the immaturity, misogyny, and hyper-masculinity of the movie and book, but they were both important to me at one point and the movie is brilliantly made otherwise. The poster itself is also kinda homoerotic and I haven’t seen it anywhere else, so I like to keep it around, especially since the guy that wrote the book isn’t straight.
Anything you’re looking forward to in 2016? Working! Mostly cause it’ll probably be in the games industry and likely in the Bay area

Oh wow, tough question! I honestly don’t have a number one favorite, so I’m going to divide this up by platform/company, because there’s some games I adore on my Nintendo stuff (and have history there), and then others on the PC and my 360.
Favorite 3DS/Nintendo game: I’d have to say Pokemon has been my favorite the longest since childhood, but I have fond memories with all of Nintendo’s things. Pokemon is the first that comes to mind because I was OBSESSED with the games. I had red, yellow, silver (and I think gold at one point too), ruby, diamond, black, and now X and AS. Just the thrill of catching pokemon and raising them and building a team, and the strategy with it always made me so happy. But Nintendo has ALWAYS been my favorite and still is. My dad and I used to play Mario Kart Double Dash together and Animal Crossing on the Gamecube too. Animal Crossing is also my go-to for relaxation and self-care these days, and Pokemon X/AS helps with that too, with the Amie feature.
Favorite console game: The Fallout series. I love Mass Effect and I love Dragon Age too and many others but the Fallout series has just...never let me down personally? I loved 3 and New Vegas was a trip and I think I love it because I love post-apocalyptic themes and the customization of the character was phenomenal. There weren’t any LI’s with the other two I named (and believe me, I have a soft spot for Garrus Vakarian) but something about being yourself and fighting to survive really got to me. It was one of the first shooters I really got into too. I don’t have a next gen console so I miss playing the games (I also lack a TV at the moment to play said 360) but I have such fond memories of them and I’m hoping to get 4 one day for the PC.
Favorite PC game: Civ V. Funny enough, my ex got me the game as a gift but I wasn’t throwing away a $40 game just because he turned out not to be good for me. It’s a fantastic strategy game and as an ISTJ and someone who loves strategy games (Final Fantasy Tactics is another one I adore but that’s a different story haha) this was a kicker for me. Rule a country, take over as world leader? I’m in. Plus I’m a history nerd.
That’s probably soooo much longer than you were anticipating haha!! :D But I honestly can’t just choose one game and with all that’s out there these days how can you?? I also love Steam games and indie games (60 Seconds is a fave) and I love others not even listed here (Zombie games for instance). But there’s a snapshot of my favorites.

So I’m a big Let’s Play fan and Achievement Hunter was the original group of guys I watched (I still watch them but I’m loving Game Grumps more these days) and Ryan Haywood is my favorite of them, and I’ve been told by multiple friends that I’m very much like him in terms of humor, creepy things that he says, and his overall self, and he has the title of “Mad King” in the fandom (from LP’s he’s done with the gang, to his role on their cartoon X Ray and Vav) so I adopted it and changed it to Mad Queen instead, and attached it to “under the mountain” for the tolkien reference :D

some cats are more reactive/perceptible to catnip than others. o: the majority of our cats have various degrees of high. some like fresh catnip leaves more than others. some don’t react to catnip at all.
