Friendly reminder that duaric (wlm/mlw) relationships and attractions are not shameful. Being attracted to the opposite sex is not a con of bisexuality. It is a part of it. No type of attraction or relationship is inherently lesser than or better than any other. Internalized biphobia is a struggle, a struggle that I have, but accepting all of your attractions and whole identity is freeing. It's worth it.

We lost legendary internet icon Shiro/Nobiko/Longcat today at the age of 18 years after a long battle with a slew health problems that her mama handled like a fuckin champ. Id been following her mama on Twitter for a while now and every time she posted a bunch of pictures of young Nobiko I would hit "translate tweet" with dread in my heart...well, today was the day.

Viva Longcat, you absolute unit. As someone who worked on Hogwarts Legacy, please please please buy the game. It’s unfair that the hard work of hundreds of people– that the jobs of hundreds of people should be affected by a person that barely had anything to do with the actual work. Whether or not the game does well doesn’t really affect JK. She’s already rich. She’s getting crazy revenue from every single Harry Potter merchandise in existence. Nothing will change that.

Boycotting Hogwarts legacy won’t hurt Rowling.

You’ll just hurt us. The people whose jobs rely on the game doing well. You’ll hurt the artists and writers that spent hundred of hours toiling away at a project that they love. We love Harry Potter. Many of us grew up reading that series and plenty of us are Harry Potter nerds. Imagine, a Harry Potter game made by the kids and teens who grew up reading the books and watching the movies. As well as the adults who read those books to their kids.

Instead, donate money to your favorite trans charity. Stream the game and donate that money to organizations that teach of inclusion and love. Use Hogwarts Legacy to support the trans community BECAUSE Rowling will hate it.

Don’t force your 11 year old self to miss out on something fun, beautiful, and magical. Use that righteous anger as a weapon of love instead.

Operating under the assumption OP actually works on the company, because I’m not opening that can of worms, this is a bad post.

The problem with “you’ll just hurt the people who worked on it” is that you can apply it to everything. Like, if a game is bad, just truly technically awful, unfun, not buying it will still hurt the people that worked on it. But for some reason when its against Rowling and not just, you know, not buying a game, its a punishment to all the poor salaried workers.

The two unfortunate truths are that 1) everything, good or bad, has a group of people who’s labor went into it and 2) unless you are spending money on everything at all times, there is someone whose job might be more secure because of your purchasing power. Focus on dismantling capitalism instead of guilting people into buying video games.

Also I cannot believe the gall of op to tell people to donate to a trans charity AFTER buying a AAA video game

As someone works adjacent to the games industry (freelance journalist) I agree that this is a bad take on OPs part. Hogwarts Legacy isn’t being made by a small indie developer or something that will crumple after bad sales. Instead the company making it, Avalanche, is owned by Warner Brothers themselves. If the studio gets shut down or people are fired then that is due to a billion dollar company being supremely shitty, not the actions of the public. Boycott the hell out of this game if you wish, and definitely dont feel bad about it.
