Until the Stars Burn Out - Bora and Kevin
The moon was the biggest and brightest that Kevin had ever seen. The only time he'd seen a moon this big and bright was the night he was bitten. Four months ago, on a rainy night in the woods outside Busan. He was bitten by a werewolf/vampire hybrid. His life had changed forever that night. He was immortal, as was his love. Not long after he was changed, he met Bora, a pureblood vampire who would become the love of his life.
In only a matter of days he was hopelessly in love with her, she was taken at the time so he had to bury his feelings deep down and live with the dull ache they caused. He became her pet, not what he truly wanted but he knew he couldn't live without her. From the very first day he bathed her in love. His heart not letting him do anything less. Accepting his role because he had no other choice, he needed her to live, even if he could only have a part of her.
All that changed a month and a half ago when her relationship ended. They were able to be together. It was hard to put into words for Kevin, he didn't make the decision to be with her, it was as if it was already decided. Destiny moved them together, as if it were already written on the fabric of reality. Being together didn't just feel right, it felt like the natural order of the universe.
He looked up at the moon, his eyes glowed a bright blue. He was only part werewolf but he felt the call of the moon strongly. Occasionally he felt the need to take the form of the Wolf and run through the forests, bringing down game such as deer and communing with the wolves there. He was able to command them and tonight he went on a hunt with his little brothers. He had changed back into human form and was wearing the extra set of clothes he brought. Blood still staining his chin. On nights like this he was the living spirit of the savage beauty of the forest. Tonight was a good night.
He smiled to himself as he came inside the house, He was going to surprise his love tonight. The very thought filled him with joy, making the flowers in the room perk up. Since his abilities were based on emotion, his emotions radiated out from him sometimes and affected the world around him. This happened nearly every day now since that night a month and a half ago when Bora made him her consort and bound him to her forever. He shed tears of joy that night.
His dream of creating unity and harmony among the various races of mythic beings now seemed attainable. He knew in the mythic world some violence was necessary, as many, including himself and his love, were predatory beings. But he felt deeply that violence and hostility based solely on species had to end. At the heart was the mistrust and hatred between werewolves and vampires. He was a living bridge between the two species and he knew, whether he was ready or not, a large part of the responsibility of ending these divisions would rest on him. Many times he did not feel ready to shoulder this weight, he had thought about giving up more than once. But he couldn't do it. If he didn't do it who would? And now with Bora by his side, he knew he could do anything. He knew in his heart that their love would reshape the world.
"I'm back my love!" He smiled as she came to him and kissed him deeply, tasting his sweat and the blood of the deer he had taken earlier. He wrapped his arms around her waist and pressed his forehead to hers, looking in her eyes with the deepest love, he did this often. "I have a surprise for you. You know how I say I want our love to spread across the world? I've planned a trip to southern Mexico, I thought we could spend some time in Mexico City and travel to the Aztec ruins of Teotihuacan. What do you think my heart?"
