Warnings: Slight fear, lying/manipulation/rudeness, cages
(Check the reblog for the links to the previous chapters!)
Patton was shaking even harder now, after the last conversation Logan had had with what sounded like the same person. There was no denying that Logan was at least planning on becoming a scientist. And was planning on using the cage...But Patton was still gonna give him the benefit of the doubt. Maybe he had to use the cage for something else?
Once he realized they were in the car, alone, he spoke. “L-Logan?” He asked, stuttering.
“Yes, Patton?” Logan asked, hearing the small voice from his pocket. He kept his eyes on the road, navigating them home.
“Uh...What-What are you going to do with that, um...cage you got?” Patton asked, unable to keep the worry and fear out of his voice. The two emotions making him stutter.
Logan thought back to Patton’s fears about both Roman and even the beaker earlier. How he still yearned for freedom. Perhaps it would be best to calm Patton for now and win him over to the idea.
“I was planning on refurbishing it.” Logan supposed it wasn’t exactly an incorrect explanation.
I Will See You Again...
Borrower and Thor, a bit of Loki at the end because I cannot help myself XD
______________________________________________
"Ok....you can do this." You took a breath, and ran across the living room floor. It had been hours and the human on the couch had to be asleep right?
It had only been a few days since you've moved in, so you didn't really have a good grasp on what everyone was like. If there was one thing you knew, it was that the hopefully slumbering giant was strong.
His hands could easily crush you without a thought, it would be like snapping a toothpick in half to him! So as you crossed the thick carpet you prayed that you were right in assuming he was asleep.
To your misfortune however, he wasn't.
***
Thor couldn't sleep, as tired as he was. He stared at the ceiling lost in depressing thought until he heard a slight swishing sound. Tilting his head, he saw you running across the carpet.
He sat up, and squinted. "I must be imagining...." Thor rubbed his eyes tiredly, and looked again. Nope you were still there, only he was pretty sure you have heard him because you were frozen.
And staring straight at him.
"Oh, hello there little fellow." Thor yawned. "There is no need," you took off running again. "To be scared..." With a groan he pushed off the couch, and walked over to you in three steps.
"Hello little one, where are you running off to?" He asked, taking a knee and lowering his hand in front of you. Thor smiled sleepily down at you hoping to ease your nerves.
***
A hand stopped you in your tracks after you had torn your eyes away from the human. He stared down at you, a smile on his face. You trembled, and tried to reel back only to bump into his other hand.
You squeaked, and jumped forward. Three of your paths were blocked and honestly, if you tried to run away he would probably just grab you.
"What, what do y-you want?"
He shrugged. "Nothing little one, simply your company if you'll allow it." His hand came forward, and for a second you thought it was over for you. Cowering, you covered your head with your arms, and squeezed your eyes shut.... But after several moments nothing happened
When you cracked an eye open you saw that he was frowning.
"I do not mean to scare you. My name is Thor Odison, and I swear I shall not harm you." He promised. "What is your name little one?"
You took a shuddery breath. "(Y/N)..."
Thor beamed at you. "That is a great name! (Y/N), it suits you."
What was that supposed to mean?
You didn't hqve time to wonder, for in the next set his hand scooped you up from behind, causing you to tumble back in his hand.
He stood, and walked over to the couch. "So little one, where are you from? And what are you doing up so late?"
You sat up in his palm. "I... I.. live nearby." You settled on saying. "And— and your up too!"
"Yes." Thor hummed in agreement. "Altghough I wish I was not. I was having some troubled thoughts, but I think you have pushed most of them away."
You bit your lip. "What, what kind of thoughts?" You asked.
"Ahh, well..." He sighed. "I miss my mother, and my father. I am simply thinking of them."
You ducked your head. "Oh,...I'm sorry."
"I will see them again someday." Thor said reassuringly.
You lifted your head again. He made it sound as though they had died. "Oh. By the way you spoke I thought they were dead."
Thor nodded solemnly. "Yes, they are. But one day in Valhalla, we shall see each other again."
You were silent for a moment, unsure of what to say, when suddenly your view moved. Thor settled you against his chest, and layed down bringing the blanket up.
"No! Wait! Let me go!" You squirmed, trying to break free from under the hand.
"Sshhh....." He hushed. "We both need to get some sleep. So goodnight little one." He said suddenly sounding very drowsy.
You panicked. What if someone saw you in his hand?
"Wait please, I promise I'll get some sleep! Please let me go!"
It was too late. Thor's head hit the pillow, and fell asleep. If his loud snores were anything to go by, he wasn't about to wake soon.
You were forced to lay there for half an hour until you heard feet come down the steps. Doing your best to hide yourself, you pulled your legs in, but couldn't quite duck your head under his hand. Whoever came was going to see you!
You braced yourself for the worst.
***
Loki had been informed by Stark's A.I. that Thor was out of bed, again.
"Most likely moping, or mourning..." Loki muttered to himself. He walked down to the room he had been told thor was in, and heard to his relief loud grating snores.
"Hmp. At least he is not..." His eyes spyed something in his brothers hand. "What is this? A mouse?" He walked over steadily taking in the sight. On Thor's chest pinned under his hand was that small human like creature that had recently taken up residence in the tower.
"Hello little mouse." Loki grinned down at you. With a long suffering sigh he lifted the heavy hand off of you, and pinched the back of your clothes to bring you up in front of his face.
"Sooo... My brother has caught you now did he? I'm surprised."
Your legs curled up under you. "Br-Brother?"
"Hmm yes. The resemblance is uncanny." He said sarcastically. "Well I suppose you'll be wanting down now won't you?"
"Please..." you begged.
"Very well." He relented, stooping down. "I expect I'll see you again anyways." He set you on the ground, and patted your back to send you forward. "Go on now, shoo."
You flinched at the pat and only quickened your pace to get out of there. You hoped he was wrong about seeing you again.

I Will See You Again...
Part 3
Heyo! Thor and (Y/N) borrower
______________________________________________
Thor gave a weary sighed, and planted his head on his elbows as he sat at the table. He did not feel like eating, he did not feel like training, he did not feel like doing anything at all. Dragging himself from his room had been hard enough....
As his mind reeled with memories, out of the corner of his eye he noticed movement. Turning his head he saw the little person that he had seen a few nights ago.
Thor had thought they were only a dream, but here they were, back pressed against the corner looking around nervously. With a groan he stood, and noticed how the tiny stiffened.
"Hello...(Y/N) is it?" Thor asked stepping over. For a second he loomed over them as they looked up fearfully. Taking a knee, Thor smiled in an attempt to calm them down. "What are you doing out here little one?" He asked gently.
****
You froze at the voice, and watched as he came over.
You took a breath. It was either deal with Thor, or deal with Loki....
You did not want to deal with Loki.
"I...I wa-was looking for something t-to eat." You stuttered. Thor's hand started coming over slowly. It layed flat next to you, unmoving.
"Well, if you are hungry I can make you something to eat." He offered.
You bit your lip, you couldn't mess this up. "I..I couldn't. I don't want to bug you—"
"Nonsense." Thor said cutting off your weak protest. "In fact I would greatly appreciate your company."
Shakily, you nodded, and stepped on his hand. "Ok..."
He practically beamed as he lifted you up, and set you on the table. "Great! What would you like to eat?"
"Umm.. I'm not picky..." You mumbled. "What do you like to eat?"
Thor turned to the counter and paused. "Hmmm well I like poptarts, but we are out of poptarts. How about a sandwich?" He turned to see if you agreed.
You nodded. "That sounds good."
He turned back around, and began taking out ingredients.
"So, how are you doing today?" You fidgeted.
He didn't turn around. "I am fine little one. And how about you?" Thor echoed.
"Ah, well hungry I guess." You winced. That had been supposed to be funny but came off as pathetic. Thor turned around at that, a look of pity in his eyes.
"Ah, don't worry. You can eat as much as you want!" He said brightly giving you a pat on the head.
You flinched under his finger. "Um...thanks."
Thor quickly made a large sandwich, and pressed it as flat as he could for you, though it was still really big. You settled for tearing off pieces with your hand, and eating it that way.
You saw that in the process of making your sandwich, he had made one of his own to eat. You couldn't help but feel relieved.
"Thank you Thor." You sighed.
He beamed. "It's no trouble." Thor tilted his head. "You sound like you have let go of a great burden. What is on your mind?"
You froze a bit. "Um well.... I—" you swallowed, and tryed to think of a convincing lie. "I was worried,...when you found me..."
Thor's hand lowered around you, but this to you didn't jerk away when he rubbed your back.
"(Y/N), you never need to be frightened of me. I swear I shall not harm you." He promised once again.
"I—I believe you." Really it was the brother you were scared of. But you weren't about to tell him that.
"Good." Thor nodded. He kept his fingers there on your back, and ate one handed.
Maybe what Loki said about Thor taking care of "Lesser creatures" was true. Although you were loathe to admit it, maybe spending time around Thor wouldn't be all bad.
Thor quickly finished his lunch, and waited patiently until you couldn't eat anymore, and then ate the rest of yours.
"Well little one, what would you like to do?"
You curled your knees up. "What do you mean?" You had thought that this would be it. That he would let you go and you would go report back to Loki or something.
"Well, how about we watch a movie? Or would you like to go home?" He paused for a moment. "I just, feel...that maybe it would be fun to do something together. If you don't want to I won't force you—"
"No, um.." Loki would probably want Thor to do something more than sit and veg out on the couch. "C-can you read?"
Thor chuckled, looking slightly puzzled. "Why yes I can. Can you?"
"A little...." You licked your lips. "Can you read to me?" Maybe this was too much. Maybe you were pushing it. Maybe this weekend a bad idea and—
Thor's voice broke through your speeding thoughts and brought you back. "Sure if that is what you would like to do. Do you have a specific type of story in mind you would like?"
"Err...um...no. Just whatever you want to read is fine." You couldn't believe your luck. You never had time to read, amd the few scraps of reading material you could get your hands on took you awhile to decipher.
Without realizing it, you grinned, eager to hear something.
Thor smiled as his little friend perked up. "Well I know Tony has a library somewhere in the tower. If I am correct there is a adolescent section that he recently put in for his son Peter. You might find some of those stories interesting."
"Mr. Stark has a son?" You asked.
Thor hummed. "Yes." He held his hand down in front of you. "Would you like to-"
"Yeah! Let's go." You said excitedly clambering into the palm.
"Alright then." He chuckled.

A few weeks had passed since Steve had gottem sick, what Steve had said in a few haze still stuck with Bucky. He couldn't help but pity the little guy. A neighbor had given him dome extra vegetables, so he had started up a stew, because what else would he have made with weather like this?
Snow came down in heavy flurries, thick, wet and freezing. Luckily Bucky had gotten his paycheck, and was able to stock up a bit on coal.
"Whatcha got there?" A voice asked from the floor. Bucky looked down and smiled.
"Soup, I got some food from the neighbors next door." He lowered his hand to steve, who climbed on.
"When will it be done?" Steve started climbing up to Bucky's shoulder. Bucky dropped removed his spoon from the pot, and reached over to pick him up by the waist.
He chuckled. "Careful buddy, and It's going to be awhile still." He placed Steve by the cutting board. "What have you been up to all day?"
Steve crossed his arms. "I'm making you something."
"Really?" Bucky snickered.
"Yeah!"
Some silence passed.
"Well are you going to tell me?" Bucky asked.
Steve shook his head. "Nope! You're going to have to wait."
"Oh?" Bucky checked the pot, and stuck the spoon back in to stir slowly again. "Can I try to guess what it is?"
Steve grinned. "You can try, but I might lie."
"The day you tell a believable lie is the day the war ends!" He laughed.
Steve's face turned a bright pink. "I can lie.." he murmered.
Reaching over, Bucky tousled Steve's hair. Taking the spoon out, and setting it aside, he scooped Steve up. "Come on buddy, let's check on the fire."
Steve squirmed in Buckys hand. "Your freezing! Why are your hands always so cold?"
"Because it's winter?" He wrapped his hands around Steve gently. "Your warm, like a little hot hand warmer.
"Bucky!" Steve's teeth actually started chattering.
"Alright, alright.." Bucky laughed. He sat on the couch corner closest to the fireplace, letting Steve loose on his knee. "Well, let me try to guess this thing your making." He pursed his lips, and raised his hand to his chin, pretending to think.
"Hmmm.... Is it something you took from the neighbors?"
Steve shook his head firmly. "No! And I don't take, I borrow, and only what I need!" He added swiftly.
Trying to keep the grin off his face, Bucky nodded seriously. "Ok... So it's from here? I see... Alright."
Steve looked up at Bucky eagerly. "Your gonna like it! I know you will."
"Does it involve wood?" Bucky guessed off handedly. Imediately steves face fell, but then he planted a nervous smile on his face.
"What? No. It doesn't.."
Bucky hummed, and tried not to laugh at Steve's face. "Really? Are you sure about that?"
He nodded Hesitently. "Yes."
It was to much. Bucky burst out laughing. "Your face! Your terrible at lying!"
Steve's face burned red. "That's not fair." He mumbled.
"I'm sorry buddy." Bucky wiped a tear away. "I won't guess anymore."
Steve sighed. "Well now that you know it has wood I might as well show you." Steve climbed down Bucky's leg, and ran off.
Bucky sat on the couch and waited, his leg bouncing. Finnally steve came back slightly panting. "Ok,... Here it is." He carried something in his hand covered with a scrap of cloth.
Standing, Bucky crossed over with three steps to Steve, and picked him up. "Take it easy buddy. I'm not going anywhere."
"Hey! I can walk!" Steve fought half-heartedly.
"Yeah but your also slow, and I'm impatient." Bucky teased. He set Steve on the couch. "Now what is it?"
"It's not done is what. But you already know, so..." He pulled the blanket off and held it out.
Bucky streachted his fingers to the object. Ot was a carved figure of dog. It stood on it's hind legs, frozen in an excited leap. It was very detailed, the ears were waved slightly, and there were lines carved for fur, and the base it stood on had little tufts of grass spread around.
"This is amazing buddy! What do you mean it's not done?"
Steve ducked his head. "I don't know...." He mumbled.
"Alright. But it's really good." He said passing it back to Steve.
"Thanks. You can keep it now if you want."
Bucky grinned. "You sure?" Steve nodded. "Alright tiny thanks. I'm going to put it in the kitchen. Speaking of," he glanced at thr clock. "I think the stew is ready. You coming?"
Steve was already climbing up Bucky's arm. "Yes! Let's go."
Bucky his eyes. "I'm not a jungle gym, and you're going to fall."
"Not unless you keep mOVing!" Steve yelled. Bucky had tipped his torso forward to make Steve tumble into his hands.
"I moved." Bucky said dryly, a smirk on his face. "Come on lets go eat."

Fighters.
Bucky and tiny Peter.
________________________
Bucky sharpened his knife in the living room, deep in concentration. Unaware of a certain tiny watching him.
The small crept up behind him, and scaled the back of the couch before making his presence known.
"Whatcha got there?" Peter asked. Bucky jumped from the couch, and held his knife defensively. Peter raised his hands up. "Whoa, whoa, whoa! It's just me!"
Bucky let out a tense breath, and sucked in sharply. He dropped the knife, and snatched up Peter, before flopping back on the couch.
"Half pint." He said darkly. "What did I tell you about sneaking up on me?" Peter looked up to Bucky's firm face.
"To make sure I always have an exit plan."
Bucky grinned. "Thanks right." He messed Peter's hair with his knuckle. "What happened to your exit plan?"
Peter squirmed, and did his best to get away from the finger. "Maybe I wanted to hang out with you... Come on man!" He huffed.
Bucky snickered, and messed around with Peter, pushing him from one hand to the other. "Why don't you stop me?"
Peter smirked, and shot a string of webbing at Bucky's eyes. Bucky stopped, and let ho of Peter to use his hand to pull it away. "Good, now what?"
"Now I destroy you!" Peter leaped, and grabbed Bucky's metal arm.
"No Half pint." He shook his arm, but Peter clung to it. "You leave a taser pad, and get the hell out." He shook his arm some more. "Damn your sticky." He raised his arm up to look at Peter.
Peters eyes rolled dizzly. "..ss the spider bite.." he mumbled. Bucky chuckled and pried Peter away gently.
"Alright I think that's enough. Good job kid." He praised. "But in a real fight..."
"I know, I know, run and hide when your done."
Bucky nodded fimly. "That's right."
Peter sat back in Buckys hand. "Do you think I'll ever use these moves on a real bad guy soon?"
"Hell no. I hope not." Bucky nudged peter. "You should never have to use these at your age." He poked Peter's shoulder. "And you better damn not sneak up on any strangers either!"
Peter rubbed his shoulder. "Ok, ok..." He grinned up at Bucky. "Do you want to get some lunch?"
"Hell yes." Bucky tossed Peter up. He in turn shot a string of webbing, and pulled himself to Bucky's shoulder.
"Let's eat Pizza rolls!"
Bucky shrugged. "Ok."
"Let's have some ice cream?" Peter asked.
Bucky snorted. "I don't care half pint, go crazy."
Peter pumped his arms up, and leaped off of Bucky to the the table. "Great! I'll get the pizza into the oven!" He darted off towards the oven, but a hand came down and blocked him. He bounced back, and landed on his rear.
"Yeah, no. I don't think so half pint." Bucky waited for Peter to get back up. "Your not allowed to use the oven."
He pouted. "But I never get to use Steve!"
Bucky did a double take. "You named the stove after Steve??"
"No!" Peter shook his head, and rolled his eyes. "I didn't name the stove. The Sanders did."
"What? Is this... Some sort of vine?"
Peter groaned. "Never mind."
***
It was movie night, and everyone was gathering in the living room for a movie marathon of the Lord of the rings trilogy.
"Oy! Have Peter pass the salt!" Clint asked Bucky.
Bucky shrugged. "Sure, you ready Peter?"
"Ready!" Peter wrapped his arms and legs around the salt. Bucky picked it up, and tossed it to Clint. "YEET!" Peter shot a string of web at the lamp, and swung back and forth like a pendulum, the salt griped between his legs.
"Hey, hey, hey, hey! Come here!" Stark had rolled his eyes at the others as they watched peter swing. Reaching forward he grabbed Peter. "Guys!" He huffed.
"What? He was having fun! And he can handle it. Right Peter?" Clint asked. "Can I have the salt though?" Peter released the shaker, Clint darted out and grabbed it. "Thanks!"
"No problem!"
"I know he can handle stuff, but you guys don't need to treat him like a toy."
"But they don't! This is fun!" Peter insisted.
Stark held a hand up in surrender. "I'm just saying."
He goes back to his seat, and Peter runs back to Bucky. "Have you ever seen this movie before?" He asked leaping to Bucky's leg.
Bucky shook his head. "No, but I read 'The Hobbit' when it came out."
"SHhhh! It's starting." Natasha shushed.
The movie started, Peter climbed up to Bucky's shoulder to keep a running commentary through out the movie, much to Buckys amusement.
"Don't tell Gandalf about good night, or good afternoon." He mumbled.
"Bilbo is cool because he reads terms and agreements."
He watched the dwarves eat at the elves table. "Same. I don't like green food either."
"I feel like my teacher would relate to Gandalf, because he to is always counting to make sure we are all there on field trips."
The movie ended with Bucky grinning, and Peter looking pleased with himself at getting the soldier to laugh. "That wasn't bad." Bucky chuckled.
"Yeah it was ok." Peter shrugged.
Bucky snorted. "By some of your comments I would have thought you didn't like it."
"Making side comments is half the fun! Especially if you've already seen the movie."
Bucky stood, and began helping the others clear the stuff away. "Well you should read the book sometime."
"Sure! Do you have the book?"
"Actually, I do." He scratched the back of his neck. "When we're done I'll get it for you."
"Yes!"

Macaroons
Whoo! Two prompts with one stone! Thanks for reading! ;P
Marionette and Borrower Reader
Warning: nosebleed, because they hurt themselves
______________________________________________
Marionettes parents had to run out on an emergency shopping trip to buy more sugar, and cream cheese. There was no way they could make a cheesecake without cream cheese!
Marionette stayed behind to take out the baking macaroons, but she didn't mind. Tikki, smelling the pasteries came out, and hovered near the oven.
"They smell delicious!"
"I know! Maybe later we can make some." Marionette sighed. "These are for the bakery."
Tikki nodded, and flew up to Marionettes shoulder. Both the kwami and the girl were unaware of the hungry eyes watching them.
Soon the timer beeped, and she took them out. "Oh! I'm should go get the cute cookie wrappers. I think they're up front..."
Marionette left to go fetch them.
***
"Just one.... surely they wouldn't miss one?"
You were aware of the strange little bug thing that followed the bakers daughter. You were also aware of her secret identity, but none of that mattered. All that mattered was that your stomach was demanding one of those pastries.
There were jars of cookies, and trays of cakes and pies, but the jars were hard to open, and disturbed frosting on a cake would definitely be noticed; same with the pies if the crust was broken.
Marionette at last took out the delicate macaroons, and set the tray on the counter to cool. Your mouth watered. Swiftly, and quietly you climbed down your rope in the semi dark corner, and dropped to the floor.
You waited till Marionette left, and darted out.
It seemed to be just a hop, skip, and jump till you reached the counter. Keeping an eye on the human you climbed up the wooden counter, using the nicks and grooves to get a hold.
As you reached the top, the smell only seemed to call to you more, and more. With a push, you clambered over the edge and ran across the warm pan. Stooping over you picked up the bright pink macaroon, but right before you could bit into it you heard a gasp.
Startled you dropped the cookie, and turned your head to see marionette had returned.
Your mind went into flight mode. In mere moments though, a blurry glass surronded you, you smacked face first into the wall.
Bouncing back, you grabbed your bleeding nose, and looked up to see her face an inch away from the glass! You squeaked, and pressed back, moving the glass slightly.
It was quiet for a moment before her voice broke the silence.
"Ah! I'm so sorry, I just wanted to catch you.—I mean! I just wanted you to stay for a moment so I could talk to you." She rambled.
You blinked. The blood was leaking out your fingers.
"Um....I'm gonna move the glass ok?" Her hands came over and lifted the glass slowly. You must have hit a blood vessel, because your hands were bright red, and there was no sign of stopping.
"Oh no! I'm so sorry, here!" She handed you a pink napkin. Marionettes movements we're quick, you couldn't help flinching back.
Her face was sincerely apologetic, so you took the napkin.
She watched for several slow minutes as you staunched the flow. You weren't sure what would happen when it stopped. Would she keep you? Like she kept the little bug thing?
At last you couldn't pretend like you were still hurt. You moved the paper towel away.
"....I really am sorry I hurt you." She bit her lip. "Would you like a croissant? Or maybe a cookie?" She unscrewed the lid to one of the cookie jars, and took out a cookie. Holding it out to you she smiled hopefully.
You fidgeted. "Um... th-thanks." Hesitently you reached out, and took it.
"Your welcome!" She smiled brightly. "My names Marionette, what's yours?"
Before you could answer, there was a bell chime sounded by the door. Marionette gasped. "My parents!" She whispered. In a flash her hands came out and scooped you up. You yelped in surprise as she ran upstairs to her room, calling to her parents where she was going.
Using one hand she opened the floor door and walked over to the desk to set you down.
"I'm so sorry." She apologized once more. "Its just, my parents, and I didn't know if you were to be seen by them— you didn't seem to want to be seen by me, and—"
"Er, um Marionette?" She stopped talking and looked down at you.
"....thanks. For the cookie, and for not letting your parents see me....And I'm sorry I tried to take your pasteries." You fidgeted hoping she wouldn't be upset about that last part.
She grinned. "Ah that's ok! Everyone loves our treats so I really can't blame you." You smiled back relevied.
"Heh yeah." Sitting down you bit into your cookie. "Where's your little red bug?" You asked.
Marionette jerked back as if she had been smacked. "My...my wh-what?"
"Um.... Never mind. I'm thinking of something else...." You excused. Standing back up you changed the subject. "My name is (Y/N)." You said offering your hand.
Marionette sighed relieved, and giggled as she took your miniscule hand between her finger tips. "It's nice to meet you."
