botg thoughts!! sjs vs nsh 3/24

i hadn’t been to a sharks game since like 2023 (??) and it was soooo nice to be back!! i love this current team so much despite everything!

during warmups klingberg and wennberg went no buckets and it was wild seeing their full faces that close

asky and ned warming up/chatting together, askarov you are so beautiful.

made some crazy eye contact with will after he was hunched over mouth breathing and squinting trying to read a sign (get some contacts diva, it was like 6 feet away)

will and mack quite literally barely acknowledge or talk to anyone else, it’s wild to see in person. like they were constantly looking to find the other, orbiting, making faces across the ice (fork and spoon found in kitchen). like watching their nonverbal communication from opposite sides of the rink is actually crazy. best friends to ever best friend.

didn’t have the best view of the bench but at one point sherwood was sitting in between willmack and had to lean forward so they could do their weird little smelling salts ritual

will talked to the refs more than anyone else, responsible king

sherwood always looks so exasperated and it’s so funny. like he was in the box looking mad as hell!!

seeing warso in person was such a jumpscare. interesting to see the coaching staff interact with each other and the players though.

willmack always the last two on the ice, no surprise there

i met so many sharks fans from NC!! it was so cool to meet everyone! so many baddies

so i ran back the "trade a puck for a pga superstore gift card" sign that i made for when i saw the sharks in buffalo...

warmups were kinda crazy, i helped a kid get a puck from mack!

on the willmack front they were goofing around during warmups and giggling (THEY'RE NOT DIVORCED)

i honestly don't have that much to say because i couldn't really see the bench from where i was sitting (i was behind the goal on the sharks shoot twice side) and was pretty locked in to the game but they did a lot of their little almost-kiss orbiting meetings before face offs and came out for the 3rd and chatted to a ref together (which i'll post the video of in a sec there was no service in there)

will also threw a puck to his sister which was crazy bc she was like 6-7 (😐) rows up..i could really tell he played baseball LOL

welp i wrote this out and it wouldnt post lol

toward the end, mack skated up behind will for a bit with a hand on him. spoonskating imo and then they skirted the boards, came down the middle and split off

mack was farrrr away and the name of the game seemed to be weird passes. waiting to go between someones legs or trying to skip it or make it airborne. they were laughing and grinning, it was definitely a challenge between them. when people got too in the way, they moved it behind the net, sliding them along the boards to each other.

eventually a few players came to squish mack and will collected a few pucks, some he kept and some he sent to mack. mack sent one over to the kids then they did their usual shooting off each other. will would usually wait for Brossoit to be looking away and tuck them in behind him… weirdo

they did that until they were kicked off, at which point will haphazardly lobbed a puck at my side which hit a tiny sharks fan kid in the head and bounced into the hands of a tiny sens fan LOL

not much to say during the game. it was very interesting hockey-wise, not super rpfy

at one point zube pinned Mack against the ice by his neck/helmet and sat on him. squish the fucking bug lolol

but once the sens knew how to get one past Brossoit, it was pretty clear they’d be keeping that up lol. By goal 3, you could tell.

could not locate any smith family but also i did not try super hard lol
