April 28, 1720 - For Sale: Excellent Quality Amber Ale
To be Sold for ready Money,
An excellent double brew’d Amber Ale, brew’d with good Spring Liquor, from Nottingham Malt; to be sold for 6s. per Dozen, Bottles and all; and provided the Persons return the Bottles, they shall be allow’d 2s. a Dozen. Likewise any Gentlemen or others may be furnished with the same Ale in Casks, from four Gallons and upwards, at 16 pence per Gallon. Note, The Ale has been 6 or 8 Months in the Casks. N.B. Any Persons that desire to be serv’d with this Ale, sending a Letter or Note for Richard Page in the Fish-Market, Bloomsbury; or at the 3 Golden Balls in Broad St. Giles’s, it shall be sent as directed.
