Saving for ValhallaDSP ValhallaDelay
So now I’m slowly saving for the ValhallaDSP ValhallaDelay plugin - weighing in at a massive $50 at https://valhalladsp.com/shop/delay/valhalladelay/
Who knows how long it’ll take me to get that moolah together.

Pivot! How surprising..
Okay, so. It’s been a while. Does deposit4se still exist? Yes, for sure.
In fact, I have maybe 20-25 receipts waiting to be processed.
Why haven’t they been processed before? I simply need to get one thing out of my system first. Which is this:
I was able to collect cans + bottles to the tone of 12% of the total sum of a MacBookPro aka music/gigging machine. At the same time, I had some record sales, some streaming income, a few paying gigs (music), a couple of Mac-related errands and in the end I was able to, not only get a MacBookPro, but a USB Hub, a secondary power supply and a couple of adapters. I set in the order for it around first week of December, and the machine (the machine!) arrived around the 3rd week of December. After that it took me a while to get set up.
But I always had a plan - if I got the laptop, I’d go smaller on the next project.
So I guess now would be a good time to unveil the next project. It’s a short one. Maybe even too short.
I’m saving to purchase ValhallaDSP plugins. Sean Costello is amazing, and saving till 50€ or 100€ is a bit easier than trying to collect bottles&cans to get to about, what, 3800€? Yeah.
Here’s the new project.
I’m saving for the ValhallaDSP VintageVerb, UberMod and the Plate. That’s 50$+50$+50$. This might take me a while, but hopefully I’ll be able to get the moneys together before autumn 2018.
Anyway, thanks for following the original project (iPhone SE), the second project (MacBookPro) and now the third project. I’ll try and get around to processing the receipts :)
PS I must apologize for the falling quality of the posts - as when you write 20 or 40 blog-posts in one go, you won’t remember what you returned, where, and what the experience was like. Sorray!
We interrupt this program to deliver you a special edition of deposit4se.
This 2,10€ brought us all the way over to 378,20€ - so 380€ is closer than ever before! While it sometimes feels impossible, clocking in 0,15€ at a time for weeks on end, 400€ will some day be a reality.
376,10+2,10=378,20/3279*100 = 11,53400427%
I was lucky enough to receive a phonecall to pick up some bottles! I dragged them all in, and the result was: 3,50€! Which is a great way to proceed towards reaching 400€, which is my next goal, really.
This, along with the updated price for a mid-2015 MacBookPro, brings us to a grand total of 375,30€ - and 11,44556%!.
Let’s get to that 400€, shall we?
371,80+3,50=375,3/3279*100 = 11,445562672%
Depositmän update
Well, I walked into a 1Store in Kamppi and asked them for a quote on the non-TouchBookPro - i.e. not going TouchBar because it ain’t the future. I got a quote, and was surprised!
The device I’m looking for will cost me 3279€ + AppleCare (350€) but let’s keep AppleCare out of this for now. This would mean that we’ve suddenly reached 11,33882281%.
Well, back to picking up bottles and cans!
So, since The Box / The House got super-full of coins, I decided to deposit them onto a Nordea savings account. I guess I’ll be here for quite some time, collecting bottles, etc, so might as well get a ton of interest out of it, too, get to that new machine quicker.
Interestingly enough, some of the notes refused to get recognised by the machine, so me and the wifey had to run them in again. First we dumped in the notes, which were 170€ worth of, then we figured out that the device was broken and didn’t take coin, we went all the way to Itis only to see the whole shopping center was closed due to it being late on a Sunday evening.. And that’s why it took me quite some time to get around to depositing the coins too. Imagine that, carrying 212 pieces of 0,10€ coins in your pockets for considerable amounts of time?
Yeah, so here’s the tally:
4x 20€ notes 4x 10€ notes 10x 5€ notes 24x 2€ coins 35x 1€ coins 95x 0,50€ coins 203x 0,20€ coins 212x 0,10€ coins 190x 0,05€ coins
The coins weighed quite a bit so I was happy to deposit them in the end.
At the end, the moneys on the savings account is:
371,80€!
wait, how does that even make sense? The last count was 365,75€? I don’t know either. Not a lot of stuff makes sense around here. Either there’s extra coinage or notage being put in for no reason at all, I’ve miscalculated at some point in time (don’t worry, I won’t look back..) or something else is going on.
Anyway, that’s the tally. We’re slightly over 10% and the project is, well, continuing.
Ely-keskuksen ylitarkastajan mukaan kaupat ovat velvollisia maksamaan pantin aina rahana, mikäli asiakas itse niin haluaa.
I’ve never come across this problem, but whichever shop denied bottle-deposits->receipt->pure money should be banned/boycotted. come on!
The “worst” I’ve had to do is sign the receipt at LIDL when I take over 5€ worth of bottles there. They did look at me strange when I walked in with a 90€ receipt (or something like that) but they never refused. Go LIDL!
289€!! Like this if you were brought here by a 0,15€ can. Share if you were brought here by Antti Tolonen
288,85+0,15=289/3659*100 = 7,8983328778%
