Don’t have official art of her in her armour yet, but Barta! Barta von BOTW who is a canon character, if you remember she’s the Gerudo soldier who was captured by the Yiga and then ran off to find the great fairy fountain. She’s a fairly innessential background npc and so therefore she has crumbs of characterization but those crumbs are delicious to me so I have built her up into one of my favourite characters ever.
She’s a soldier in Gerudo town, or as we call it Palace city, but is originally from a small village in the west desert below the cliffs. In terms of her dialogue when I write her, her actual words and grammatical structure are pretty formal, because Gerudo is obv her first language and she learned to speak Trader’s Tongue (the common language between the kingdoms of the golden continent) from lesson books pretty much exclusively and isn’t used to casual conversation. But her tone and general demeanour is like that of Thor in Thor: Ragnarok, which is very fun. She is very fun.
She’s bold and headstrong but sometimes reckless and doesn’t always look before she leaps but still always lands on her feet. Her and Link make a chaotic but very skilled pair in battle and quickly become best friends. They compliment each other very well, sharing many of the same strengths as well as flaws, but that can sometimes cause problems when they don’t have someone around to be their common sense. They share a braincell, you could say.
She likes cats, watching Sandseal racing, pretty girls and a cold noble pursuit on a particularly hot day. She’s best with a spear but proficient with a scimitar as well. She’s the best best friend a hero could ask for :)
