I know no one asked but I have a head canon about BOTW
So we never really get any sort of lore or reasons for why there are stables scattered all over Hyrule. We know that they existed pre calamity because they’re in AOC. The horse head on top resembles the horse fairy/ god Melanya. And other than that, there’s no in game story about them. Hyrule is very empty, to they probably exist to provide shelter for people traveling between towns or cities. But if you think about it, the people who are found at stables wouldn’t fit in any town or village, there are no empty houses. So here’s my theory. Maybe there’s like a religion or part of the Hyrulean religion that mainly worships Melanya. Maybe they are travelers, and rely on horses a lot, so they made buildings that looked like Melanya to house their horses. But we know that they don’t go to see Melanya- at the beginning of the game, he’s trapped in his fairy fountain until Link gives him 1000 rupees. Maybe they don’t know how to find him, or maybe he’s just some sort of myth to them. I made this little drawing of link telling some kids at a stable about Melanya.
I think kids would be scared of him honestly.
