He didn't want to be alone tonight. This was a welcome change , even if it came quick and abrupt. It made Kaeya struggle with a response, he didn't know why Albedo all of a sudden felt the need to stay with him when he usually pulled all-nighters in his lab instead. Kaeya bit on his tongue to not say something stupid or offending for once. He still had to let the Chief Alchemist inside his home though, he noticed, and stepped aside. "Did Jean send you? She noticed the bags under my eye and didn't stop bothering me about it."

He let out a sigh and walked inside his home, abode, cave.. Kaeya didn't quite know how to name it ever since he lost grasp of tidying it up. It looked like a mess. Just like he did probably.

"Anyway, if you find a place to sit be my guest. I'll cook something up for dinner."

Kaeya groned as he slowly raised his head. Something wet was dripping from his forehead, right above his visible eye. He could only guess what it was and he didn't like the thought. He pressed the eye shut out of instinct so the liquid wouldn't run in it. Something got him good and he would not rest until he got it as well-

Wait.

Kaeya noticed a small and panicked voice next to him. He turned his head towards it's source and smiled, if a little bit strained. "Little Star. Are you hurt?" he asked and slowly sat up. First thing he did was to wipe the blood away with his sleeve and opened his eye again. His younger self looked out of it, probably because he just lay there moveless for a while. Around him abyss mages lay lifeless.

"Ah." he chuckled. "Looks like we're on the winning team tonight."
