Dear people who know anything at all about The Avengers,

Who the heck is the bow-and-arrow guy?

Because I see him in the preview, and on the posters, and he's all dressed in black and has his bad ass bow and is looking all sexy but seriously, who is he? I recognize all the other characters EXCEPT him. Did I miss some other marvel movie or something? Was he a minor character in one of the other ones? Did they just toss him in because bows are cool and they felt like it? But seriously, who is the bow and arrow guy?
