Because I'm curious: what are folks' opinions of the practice popular among certain progressive Jewish groups of rewriting brachot in the feminine by replacing "baruch atah [Hashem]" with "b'rucha at Shechinah"?

Please state your FOR since I have a prediction of how things will go relative to that but would like to see if my prediction pans out; I of course have my own opinions but have tried to word the above neutrally.

Lately I’ve been reading through the main Hellboy canon and also simultaneously re-reading American Splendor comics. On top of that, I am very Jewish, and love IL Peretz’ short fiction, and the supernatural. So here’s a comic reflecting all that.

Do you know a bracha for before you start to studying secular things?

There’s no such bracha. That said, I see a lot of people on Tumblr who feel like they need an official bracha or official prayer for any given circumstance, and that’s just not the case! You can always thank/pray to Hashem in your own words about whatever you want. There is obviously a place for formalized prayer (that’s why we have it), but it isn’t the only way to connect.

Brachos, a Rosh Hashana must.

For those who've followed me for a while, you know that Rosh Hashana is my Hebrew birthday. And being that it is such, and it's brought down that on our birthday we have the ability to bless, I wanted to take a moment and write out a bracha for you all.

This year, you should be blessed with gratitude, happiness, health, success, peace within your soul, love, and overall clarity. As we say, all the brachos from aleph to tov.

I pray that each and every person should know their purpose and set to achieve it.

May we be signed and sealed for a beautiful new year, one where we get the ultimate blessing of greeting Moshiach and being released from this golus.

I have seen that blessings have been written for things like giving Testosterone Shots, etc. However is there something similar for chronic illness treatments?

I take injections every few weeks for my autoimmune condition and would find it meaningful to say a blessing / thank G-d before doing the injection. I would like to note I know there are blessings for healing, however as my condition is incurable with current medical science and I am more interested in a blessing for medicine that sustains me as opposed to praying for healing

I know this is super niche, but I'm hoping that someone here can give me some insight.

When can one say shehecheyanu on punk clothes? I asked my rabbi about if I could for a specific pair of crust pants (I already had them and had worn them previously, but then added patches and hardware) and she said probably not. So now I have some follow up questions that I didn't get a chance to ask at the time. Like, when is the proper time for shehechiyanu? Should I make the bracha when I first get the garment or when I cut off the sleeves? A new piece of clothing doesn't really feel like mine until I do the first modification (either cutting off the sleeves/legs or adding a couple patches), but I usually wear it while I add the patches because I want to make sure the fabric sits right, so does that mean it's not "new" anymore?
