so it hit me that laurence & micolash are the characters i multiship the most in bb (behind the hunter, who is probably an outlier) and not only is it hilarious because that's all the more lasting psychological damage to everyone involved, i noticed a pattern

Hahah in Bloodborne setting, a more authentic question is "🐎 Who is/would be better coachman and who is the passenger?" XD My Laurence is a son of Cainhurst librarian so he has at least the minimal requirement skills of riding a horse itself, but didn't feel/have the need to learn to direct the carriage.. If he got stuck somewhere without a coachman, he'd prefer to just free one horse and go on it than try to figure it out!

Brador, on the other hand, has a variety of practical skills, and this includes being a coachman! He'd find it honorable to deliver carriage with Laurence by himself whenever there is a need, as lovely as sitting inside together sounds! Exception is if Laurence is to be left there with a passenger (or a few) that Brador doesn't personally trust. Like for example, if Laurence and Mico were to travel in a carriage together, Brador would invite A Guy rather than leave his PREEEECIOUS PERFECT FRIEND alone inside with that SNAKE who could make him uncomfortable or ask for questionable funds or try setting him against Brador's constant guarding or-

In a modern AU though, I imagine both would have driver's license, but Brador is more versatile at it (can drive various kind of cars)! Laurence also would always prefer to be driven than to drive, but only if he knows the person driving well! Brador IS that.

🔥 Who has the temper and who keeps a cool head?

They interchange in this regard! Brador typically gets heated up on behalf of Laurence or the Healing Church.... and they pretty much share this, because Laurence's main reasons to get heated are also either himself or his church. XD Laurence is able to talk Brador out of going after "enemies" that aren't worth it or might be reasoned with amicably, and Brador is able to talk Laurence out of making rushed decisions or endangering himself by attempting personal confrontations. Half of their unwise decisions (of lesser scale than the fate of Yharnam I mean) were made because one was not there to calm down the other! They even had a small fight about it, resolving in Brador insisting that Laurence discusses his grudges and worries with him first, instead of keeping secrets from him and letting it explode in the end.

Damn, the more I write headcanons about these guys, the more I realize Bradorence is practically baked into my vision of the story rather than being just a fun thought to entertain xd It is rare for me to have an 'OTP' as a lover of endless possibilities, but I am glad I am this deep in 🌛

I don’t ship much in Bloodborne but the rituals between Brador and Laurence are intricate in my minds eye. I think it can be summarized like this

^^and then it drifts away from leading him on to a full on behind-closed-doors relationship

They’re like Big Boss and Ocelot almost except they kiss. Do you understand. Their relationship could survive Laurence straight up admitting he’s not attracted to Brador and then they’d carry on as normal bc Laurence still makes out with him sometimes anyway. Love is at a stalemate (it would win if it wasn’t still pointedly a manipulation thing on Laurence’s end) 🫶
