One of the unique facts about White Cane Coffee is that all our packaging has braille labeling. When Erin lost her vision, she was driven to learn braille. She was always an avid reader so she understood that reading and literacy is the basis for independent living. So she came up with the idea to braille all the products. She truly believes that the blind and visually impaired should be able to shop for themselves.
The photos are of Erin's first Perkins Brailler. This manual braille typewriter was what started it all. We now have a computerized braille embosser but we keep this one prominently displayed in our showroom to remind us of how it all started.
