Was really hoping I could get the next chapter of my WIP Trouble out this weekend, but it's not looking so good.

Personal shit below the cut in case you don't want to read about me complaining. Mainly just wanted to give the heads up that although the story isn't abandoned, I likely won't be back to updating at my typical weekly schedule anytime soon either. Same goes for getting that MelVika Halloween fic out (although I will say I'm really glad to see some people are still interested in it even though were past Halloween.)

Between worsening migraines (now almost daily), worsening insomnia, complete fatigue from the moment I wake up to the moment I go to bed, and my job demanding more than I can give in an overwhelmingly stressful constant switching of gears and ZERO help from management, I fear my spoon count may be in the negatives and continuing to decline further.

Hence the lack of posting anything.

32. Are they quick to form opinions, or do they tend to take their time doing so? Once they've formed an opinion, how difficult is it to get them to reassess?

Staz reserves her judgments of people and situations until she has all the facts; therefore, it does take her a minute to form opinions. however, once she's formed opinions, she would need an equal or greater amount of information to alter them. a great example of this would be during the Nathema Conspiracy, where she refused to believe Theron actually betrayed her because she already knew the person he was. granted, she's not wrong, but to others in the moment (like Lana and Santi) she came off as a little naive.

33. How is their memory when it comes to everyday happenings? Faces? Names? Numbers? Is there anything they do to help themself remember things?

decent! on a normal day, Staz can remember faces, names, numbers, etc. without any problem and usually doesn't require any mnemonics/strategies to do so. even when she's in one of her depressive states—the major ones which happen about twice in her life—she'd be considered high-functioning with her memory unimpacted (with respect to her duties as Alliance Commander).

79. How do they feel about physical, non-sexual intimacy (such as hugging, hand-holding, kissing, etc.)? Are they able to participate in it as much (or as little) as they would like?

Staz loves physical intimacy, but only with her partners and only in private. hugs, hand-holding, kisses—she does them all with Santi and Rass. she was probably a little touch-starved up until when she and Santi began their relationship, so this is likely one of the reasons for the outpouring of physical affection from her. she is able to participate in it as much as likes, though it was a little awkward with Rass at first since he wasn't used to her type of physical intimacy. he did like it, it just took him a minute to admit that to Staz without sounding so embarrassed all the time 😅

63. Have they drastically changed the trajectory of someone’s life, outside of their own? For better, for worse? Are they aware of the impact they had? If so, how do they feel about it?

👀 Santi lol. you probably mentioned this somewhere (if not, someone should definitely ask Rey about it *wink* *wink* *nudge* *nudge*), but after Staz left for Tython, Santi found himself in a downward spiral. he had let the love of his life go because he didn't think it was possible that she could actually love him back, and even if she did, he assumed she would be happier with the Jedi than with him. he began to regularly abuse alcohol and stims to the point that Staz, all the way on Tython, could see his declining health when she was watching interviews of him after races and there was actually a time when she thought he had died from an overdose or something because he just completely disappeared from the swoop circuits on Dantooine. but that is a conversation for another time lol. he also engaged in reckless sex during this period—all to numb the pain and forget Staz. he eventually does break this cycle, and by the time he and Staz run into each other during the Rift Alliance arc, he's clean and sober. and because i can't not talk about this sksks the two of them do get married after Staz takes the Eternal Throne, marry Rass, and have children—which is something i think both of them never believed they would have. i actually have no idea yet if Staz knows Santi spiraled because of her, the swoop biker lifestyle certainly lends itself to alcohol and stim addiction (if you want to be stereotypical about it), but she does know how it impacted her. she usually doesn't make his past addictions about her—because, obviously, Santi was the one who experienced everything—but Staz is very sensitive about it (in the sense that, even though she has holorecordings of his swoop races, she skims through the interviews where he's showing signs of his his addiction. there's even a particular scene we had in mind when they're in the Endless Swamp after their shuttle crashes, where Staz catches Santi about to smoke and she snaps at him and takes his cigarettes away from him).

101. What is their least societally conventional/acceptable turn-on? What is it about it that gets them going? How do they feel about it? Are they generally open about it with partners? 

ehehe 😈 i wouldn't say Staz has many turn-ons that are unconventional or unacceptable, but she is definitely a little freaky in bed blame Santi. her luck that her first love and the only man she'd ever been in a relationship with up until Rass is a freak in bed Santi has a specific brand of dirty talk that alternates between absolutely filthy and endearingly sweet that never fails to turn her on. she definitely has a little bit of a voyeur/exhibitionist streak, too, and is turned on when one of her partners fucks her while the other watches or they fuck while she watches. she likes to be dominated, manhandled, and overstimulated in bed, so the thought of either or all of those things happening is a turn-on for her, too. (Staz very rarely switches from being submissive in bed, but there have been times when Santi let her take charge in the bedroom, which involved her tying him up 🥰 Rass always finds a way to reverse their positions whenever Staz tries to dominate him.) Staz doesn't feel any particular way about her turn-ons—again, she's inexperienced in romance and sex, so a lot of the things others would consider "freaky" is normalized for her by Santi and Rass—and she never really needs to ask/be open about them to her partners unless they want her to beg because Santi and Rass know her inside out. literally.
