What is to be said about the waves?

They crash In an endless song They sing The sunken tune of ships long gone They dance, Soft and gentle, grand and malevolent They break All along the shoreline Showing our struggles are irrelevant

They move Move me, move the land, Movements like symphonies By the seaside sunlight sand,

They are eternal. Guided by the gentle light of the celestial, Swaying in reverence, And roused to riotous benevolence Gladly drowning those Broken sailors too alone for a home

They are baptismal. Pulling humble drifters deep to the sea floor, Holding them, An arching cradle, Rocking them, A wise yet angst ridden Grandmother of saltwater, Peace, and grief, Too vast and grave and regal to Be able to claim to Sink into completely,

They are each stories of Unknown beginnings and Humble endings.

For who knows where they waves Began? The start of their Songline? Who can claim to see honest origins Emanating from the liquid travelers?
