Why I'm Sharing Everything I Know
I run a small writing blog called Brainstreams. You might have seen my posts floating around on Substack, Medium, or Tumblr.
My goal is simple: share practical writing knowledge that actually helps people improve their stories.
But there’s a second reason I’m doing this:
A real book—one that gathers everything I’ve learned about storytelling and turns it into a beautiful fiction story.
That's been the dream since I was a kid.
But right now, that’s difficult.
I’m neurodivergent and I work full-time, which means a lot of my energy goes into simply getting through the workday. By the time evening arrives, the creative part of my brain is often… well, pretty fried.
Writing advice posts is something I can do in small bursts of energy. A few paragraphs here, a small lesson there. But writing an entire novel takes time, focus, and energy, which is hard to find when you're disabled and working full-time.
So Brainstreams is also my way of building toward that dream.
If the advice I share here is helpful enough to generate a little support, it could allow me to eventually reduce my working hours and write my book part-time. And when that happens, I plan to share the journey here.
That means updates, progress, and the messy, ugly reality of writing a novel from the ground up.
If you want to help make that possible, you can:
Buy my printable novel writing planner
Become a paid Substack subscriber.
Like or reblog posts so other writers can find them
Or follow Brainstreams for more writing advice, random thoughts, and future updates when I start working on the book.
You can find me on Substack, Tumblr, and Medium.
Even small support helps more than you might think!
Keep writing, keep creating—keep being YOU.
