the whole reason i logged on the computer was to do these questions Brainundead tagged me in. I forgot till now tho.

Hellz no. I did meet someone who said they really wanted to try human and it was awkward to say the least. Because for the first time in my life i really had no idea how to respond.

4. What is a song you enjoyed today?

5. What do you always carry around with you?

Sharpies, my phone, an insatiable desire to do something crazy

6. What is your least favorite color and why?

I like all colors. Maybe white cause it feels so blank.

7. Do you like the way you look? Is there anything you’d want to change about your appearance?

I go back and forth. Im skinny and have flamingo legs. If i wear a pink shirt tourists take pictures of me like im an exotic bird. 

8. What is something you’d want to be an expert in?

So many things. Mythology, Musicology, Psychology, Sociology, Biology, Scientology... But most importantly Sexology! 

9. Do you ever dream about random celebrities?

totally. I had one dream that the world was ending and we broke into gary buseys house to take shelter. He wasnt there but we knew it was his house cause he had all these painted portraits of himself.

10. Do you believe in paranormal phenomena?

I'd like to, cause it makes things so much more interesting, but my logic department wont approve. But still i find some room for belief in the vast unknown. Im kinda spiritual.

11. When was the last time you had a nosebleed?

I've never had a nose bleed. I thought i broke my nose once. Didnt even bleed tho.

1. Could you live through a whole month without internet? I think so. But I'd get really bored and frustrated at first. Then I'd settle down, I think.

2. Is the glass half empty or half full? It's completely full, since there's water and air.

3. If cannibalism were legal, would you eat a human? Um. No. I don't know where other people have been. Also you can get really gross viral infections from eating human flesh.

4. What is a song you enjoyed today? Hanni El Khattib - Nobody Move

5. What do you always carry around with you? A general dislike of people.

6. What is your least favorite color and why? Chartreuse. My skin tone does not go well with yellows.

7. Do you like the way you look? Is there anything you’d want to change about your appearance? I'm pretty good with the way I look. I'd want to get rid of stretch marks, maybe, or the birthmark on my thigh. I wish I had tattoos.

8. What is something you’d want to be an expert in? Animation! And I'd love to study marine biology or organized crime someday.

9. Do you ever dream about random celebrities? Nope. I'm pretty uninterested in celebrities as a whole. They're just people.

10. Do you believe in paranormal phenomena? I have no clue. Weird shit happens, and I'm not going to discount anything on the basis that it's never been seen before. (I'm an X-Files child, in case you didn't know.)

11. When was the last time you had a nosebleed?

I honestly can't remember. I don't get nosebleeds often. Maybe when I was back in Canada, and it hit -40 C. The air was so cold it hurt to breathe.

It stopped around 1:30am, but yeah, that shit is never happening again. The only okay thing to come out of McDonald's is their fries, which are the deliciously sinful product of the god of salt and the god of grease having a one night stand.

What's art school like?

I’ve been getting a lot of questions like this lately, so I'll answer publicly.

It’s majorly weird, especially if you came from a high school or college where the arts weren’t prominent. There’s good and bad, but mostly good I think.

- Pro: Everyone’s into the arts. That means everyone knows what you’re talking about when you get excited over a movie, or a book, or a new tool.

- Con: Everyone’s into the arts. And they’ve all been watching/reading the same things and dreaming the same dreams, so it can start to feel inbred and stale after a while. Also you tend to get an unbalanced diet of interacting mostly with artsy people, and you start to believe that the whole world is like that. It’s not. Normal people don’t know what kerning is or care when the next Ghibli movie is coming out.

- Pro: You have teachers and advisors to help you, and a range of new resources. You also have alumni societies to connect with. This can be a huge asset after and during school, when you’re looking for a job or simply a community.

- Con: The people you meet won’t all be your friend. It’s a competitive field, especially since it’s based on a mix of skill and merit. There will be jerks, and pretentious people who are dismissive of other art forms. You just have to try to ignore them.

- Pro: You have assignments and classes which usually relate to the subject you want to study. You’re surrounded by like-minded people, and you can bounce ideas off of each other. You can collaborate, and discuss problems, and relate to each other really well, because you’re sharing so many experiences.

TL;DR: It’s kind of strange, but it can be extremely useful and fun if you do it right.

As my roommate blondifer says: “If it’s a good art school, it’s fucking great. Especially if it’s all of the arts, and it’s arts focused.”

Undead Thoughts #1

It seems every day I'm struck with urges to scream. Or cry. I'm afraid I'm in a downward spiral. I've taken up little dirty things I used to abhor. Smoking. Drinking. Lying. Bitterness. Closing myself off from others. Not giving a shit about important things. Why I want to slowly poison myself to death, I don't know. I'm not depressed to the point where I can barely function. It's just... little things getting me down. A lot of little things.
