Historically, Phikari have been highly territorial SnaggeMon that put on great and bold intimidation displays to scare off humans and other SnaggeMon. However, over time they adapted their intimidation displays into spectacles that endeared themselves to humans in exchange for food, shelter, and eventually praise and love and placed them as the prized companions of powerful humans in early civilization. Legends say that Phikari are harbingers of good luck and prosperity. In battle, Phikari can be ruthless fighters that use their dazzling plumage and rhythmic dances to distract their opponents from sudden, swift and potent attacks. PHIBLI, the Debut SnaggeMon!
Phibli are often considered drab and unbecoming prior to evolution, and were believed to be bad omens when seen in the wild. Humans and SnaggeMon alike often shun Phibli or even harass them in open spaces to ward off bad luck. Some say to be the cause of Phikari's natural hostility and its history of territoriality and its keen desire to impress and curry favour with humans, though an evolved Phikari rarely forgets the faces of those that mistreated it before it evolved.
