Finally, I competed a very important character regarding my AU, Drossel! He’s human like his mom, but behaves like his dad… only if you take out the lying and micro-transactions part.
After Drossel’s mom went to sleep in order to recover from her mental and physical trauma, MMW Nova got stuck with raising him. His dad could’ve helped, but the come thought he shouldn’t go near his kid because of his…. questionable shenanigans.
Even though Void forbid a clockwork star from ever raising a child, Drossel actually grew up to be a very talented mechanic and kind-hearted boy who often carried out his hobbies in secret because of social anxiety. Most people rarely see him outside of his workshop, and even more so when in large events. When he does, he tends to camouflage as somebody else and give out toys that he makes to kids, or just watches from afar.
Since the arrival of the Air Ride Machines, lots of people started to require mechanics that could fix any issues within their vehicles, which was hard since their technology was very advanced for the normal means of what the Dreamland residents had.
At the same time, Drossel, who lived inside of Nova his whole life, was interested in Popstar from the lack of interest within his spacious home. He knew everything there was about the machines and his surrounding tech, but didn’t have permission to go down, as Nova was cautious about introducing him to everyone, especially because he was infamous for being granting wishes and the surrounding rumors that circled him. He did not want Drossel to get overwhelmed and stressed.
But surprise-surprise, The King of Dreamland himself sent a very important message that required him to come down, after Meta Knight, [ who met up with Nova while he was disguised, ] told Dedede about a boy who could support their needs. A very unexpected outcome, considering the fact that Meta usually keeps secrets well, but having traffic and machines exploding was more concerning. So there it was.
With agreement from Nova, Drossel finally set his feet down onto Dreamland, where even though it was vaguely different from his home, was charming to him in a nostalgic way. Wasting no time, a workshop of his own was given to him, and after a day, lots of people came in for repairs. It was surprising that he himself was incredibly proficient in racing, but no one expected him to be on the level of a professional racer. So most of the time, youngsters challenge him to a race, only to be met with a hard loss. His machine, a Wagon Star, is fondly named Holly, from its bright red coloring and winter aesthetic. Since he was a toddler, the machine was his first one to ride, and still is capable of speeding down roads. As a bonus, Drossel installed sleigh runners that could make it fly.
Most of the time, you can see him tinkering away in his Workshop, but other than that, occasionally he’ll be running errands for others. But strangely, he’s been found on rooftops with a small bag. Who knows, he might as well be giving out some presents!
