Really, it was bound to happen eventually. She was always talking to him in class, much to their professor's annoyance, and he really just wanted to be around her. Everyone else knew it'd happen, they were just waiting.

He'd been out during their last class and she'd been upset. Seeing him always brightened her day, even if she didn't think they'd ever be together. She'd missed his laugh and his voice. It was getting a bit ridiculous, how much she liked him. it hurt too. he had a wife-but-not-really-a-wife, thing. Kayla knew she was probably a really nice girl and didn't want to get into the middle of their relationship. She just wanted Chris to be happy.

She was sitting in her chair when she saw him walk in. He looked as flawless as ever, of course. Well, maybe she was a bit biased. She always thought he looked good. Chris smiled widely at her and her heart skipped a beat.

"Hey there Kay." he said, sitting beside her. She giggled at the nickname. usually she'd smack anyone who called her that, but from him she loved it.

"Hey Chris! Missed you the other day." she said, trying to sound casual. Friends said that right? Dear god, she should ask Tori. Even though she knew about as much about talking to guys as she did.

He chuckled. "Yeah. Wasn't that great of a day. We finally broke up." he said, shrugging. Her heart skipped a beat. They'd broken up? really? It took all of her self control not to start bouncing happily in her seat. Oh god. She needed to text Tori and Emma. Maybe put something up on Tumblr too.

She tried to sound sympathetic though. "I'm so sorry!" she said, though really, how could she be? Chris laughed again.

"It's fine, really. It's for the best. Plus, I've got my sights set on another girl." he said, grinning widely. He put his hand on hers and she looked at him, eyes wide.

"Please tell me it's me." she said, before she could stop herself.

He laughed. "Of course it is." he said, leaning in, kissing her lightly.
