“Aw, I’m so happy for you!”

“Well, don’t burn any bridges, just in case the writing thing doesn’t work out.”

“Yeah, you’re leaving and I’m butthurt about it.”

Me: “Do something impressive and I’ll be impressed.”

Male coworker (unaffectionately referred to as “Johnboy”): “it’s impossible to impress someone who cannot be impressed.”

Me: “I can be impressed. You’re just not impressive.”
