Brew #365: Brewers and Union Unfiltered Helles Lager

Aroma: Grass, slight salt. hay

Pour: Hazy pale gold with white froth bubbling down

Taste: Wheat and cereal creaminess with a light bitterness and bite. Hints of sweet malt, lemon and yeast. A really nice and crisp beer, lovely.

Notes: 330ml can

Brew #259: Brewers and Union NEU BLK Unfiltered Dark Lager

ABV: 5%

Served: From the fridge

Aroma: Blackberries, bread, malt

Pour: Cola and tea dark brown with an off white froth reducing

Taste: Some sweet fruit notes quickly washed away by caramel, toasted malt toffee and doughy, grassy undertones. Hints of walnut and roast chestnut int here too. Finishes on a faintly sweet cola-ish bite. Very nice.

Time for something a little less sour, and saw this as a great platform for me to sample something more from brewersandunion.

Their Unfiltered Lager is, in my opinion, probably the best lager in the world (sorry Carlsberg!) and this has made just as much of an impression.

‘Steph Weiss’ is a smooth, creamy Bavarian Weiss beer with great aromas of Vanilla, All-spice, and Clove. Fresh, great body and bursting with flavour. Definitely more to explore
