Happy Pride Month! Even if it's a little bit late.
I'm debating posting the fic mentioned over this month, but it still is not finished, so it'll be released in chapters.
On top of that, i have been toying with ideas of what if Astro met Dyle before the shutdown? Amd some story ideas have spun off from that concept too, which i made a piece for one of these ideas. I'll admit I got lazy near the end and didn't really finish it. I might add more later but i didn't finish it because i'm too tired rn.
(I know Astro only has 2 arms visible here, but the other two are still holding his blanket mostly closed)
I have headcanons for why Twisted Dyle appears this way here. It was a deliberate design choice and a headcanon i carry for him and all the twisteds through all my DW aus. All of which are explained under the cut, as well as the context behind this. Warning: it's kinda long ;v;
In my previous pieces with Twisted Dyle, his eyes are lifeless looking. This is an indicator of how much control he has over himself while twisted. The more lifeless they are, the more twisted he is, which means he usually follows his instincts. When Dyle twists, he dissociates. He's aware, but doesn't usually care to stop what his body is doing (emphasis on usually is important here). For him, his twisted form is his way of processing his day to day stress from keeping Gardenview afloat after the shutdown. He only twisted a couple times before the shutdown. He also has very high sensitivity to sound which is what causes him to snap when he hears something loud, like failed machines, airhorns, or Pebble's barks. I think overstimulation is the best way i can put it, except he lashes out in response to it instead of shutting down.
I also headcanon that Dyle was the first ever toon to twist, however since he was kept in isolation, nobody knew it even happened. I believe that after he spoke with Arthur and Delilah about appearing on the show after the transcript, he was still denied, and he was devastated about it. That devastation twisted into anguish and envy, and that was what caused him to twist. He destroyed the posters on his floor in a rampage, getting ichor everywhere. After he calmed down and untwisted, i imagine he may have tried at least cleaning the ichor up that was on the floor but couldn't clean it thoroughly for some reason (maybe lack of proper cleaning supplies for it) which left it as the faded stains we see on his floor now.
Back to the topic tho, his eyes are more lifelike here because he's in full control. In this case he was stressed and scared, not angry. In the timeline at this time, this would only be Dyle's second time twisting. Astro found him hiding by the train tracks.
Now my Astro headcanons (and partially his canons) play an important part here. Astro can sense when toons are dreaming, however to enter or manipulate their dreams, he would have to get pretty close to them for a stronger connection.
He could always sense every toon when they dream, no matter where he is or where they are as well as the type of dream they're having. This means he could also sense Dyle's dreams. That's how Astro knew he has existed the whole time, however he was unreachable. Dyle often has nightmares, especially nightmares from when he twisted the first time. Astro could sense his stress when he's having those dreams but he can't help him because he doesn't know how to reach him. Even when Dyle isn't having nightmares, his other dreams are often about being on the show with the other toons. These dreams radiate his lonliness which Astro can sense too.
In this case, when Dyle left his floor to hide, he was trying to hide from Delilah. The day was much busier than normal and Dyle was struggling to keep up. He got overwhelmed and twisted that way. They do have an automatic system for the trains, but it's only set up when absolutely necessary. Dyle set it up to give himself a break, but the automatic system is very easily noticeable from the manual one by the higher ups (early technology for such systems so not the greatest), and the day was important so Delilah got frustrated and went to talk with him. He didn't want her finding him in his twisted form so he left his floor and hid himself by the tracks, sticking to the darker areas and using his ichor to hide himself better incase they looked at the cameras. Yes the tracks have cameras, mostly by the stations though so Dyle can control when the trains depart, but some are scattered along the rest of the tracks just to make sure they are going the right ways and nothing goes wrong. He knows how to avoid them though, he knows them like the back of his hand.
At one point, he fell asleep, and began dreaming, so Astro knew where he was, and this time he could be reached, so he went to meet him formally, only to find him twisted. However he could tell it was extreme stress and Dyle was scared. He didn't understand what a twisted was at this time because this was before The Incident. Dyle woke up, Astro didn't run away. Dyle was also entirely coiled up so he didn't look as big as he actually was. His arms were both tucked in and covered by his tail, and his mouth partially hidden by his tail too, so the fangs weren't visible and he wasn't as scary looking despite his appearance and size. Astro offered him comfort and began helping him calm down. At one point Astro did ask for one of his hands, and Dyle gave it to him, giving permission to be touched. The claws caught him off guard but they were relaxed. Astro continued soothing him until he untwisted, which came as a shock to Astro cuz now he knows Dyle wasn't supposed to look like that. They talk and introduce themselves to eachother.
This is just one of many versions i've had for this au idea since i started exploring it. Also i thought this image was cute in my head. I just wish i could see it through to completion, but again, too tired rn, may revisit later and touch it up a bit.
Ruin is continuing to lose points in my book. Look, love can be a beautiful thing, but it's also extremely dangerous in certain circumstances. And this circumstance is one of those. Ruin is putting the whole world on the line just for his Monty, and he truly doesn't care. Charlie is right, they are out of time. And points to Lefty for stepping in and standing with Charlie. I'm hobestly impressed that he also seems to be the most stable out of the animatronics. He wasn't being aggressive at all. Protective, yes, but not aggressive.
I also wonder if there is something more to Lefty here since the virus seems to have taken over everyone else completely, but he is still pretty much fine. Also gotta be proud that he defended Charlie and went as far as to restrain Ruin so she could go. In the past, he would have avoided this. I wonder if that is how the virus is affecting him. Perhaps he has a much higher threshold than the others. Or if Lefty did that fully on his own, i am proud of him.
I also saw someone speculating why Eclipse is reacting the way he is, where his naturally higher aggression/ lower anger threshold may be why he isn't turning violent and is more like dissociating. Maybe the virus pushed him to his absolute breaking point. He's too overwhelmed to get angry or react at all. Imma go with that for right now. I'm sad they can't save Ruin's Monty, but they are really out of time.
Sotm au idea where David didn't die, but since Edwin is in such a bad mental state, mostly the animatronics look after David when he can't.
A good amount of my headcanons are going into this, so don't consider things here to be entirely related to canon. A lot of it is my takes on characters as well as just my typical desire to make a fix-it type au.
Warnings: this does mention depression.
Since David doesn't die, there was no need to make M2, and M1 is possessed by the actual Fiona. Employee count is still none, MCM is still hurdling to bankruptcy, William is still changing things up for the Fazbear Project to sabotage Edwin, even though Edwin is entirely burnt out and lost his desire to work on his ideas due to him grieving for Fiona still and the stress of losing all his employees atop other issues.
Still kinda keeping the bad parent thing with Edwin, but in a way where Edwin is just too overwhelmed by a bunch of stuff to do what he needs to (also battling depression)
M1 made an animatronic shell resembling Fiona to wear most of the time (also because i cannot draw sotm Mimic for the life of me). She splits her time in trying to help Edwin as well as the animatronics and David. She is somewhat versed in the animatronic repairs since, still being a Mimic, she can learn just from observing. Before Edwin got as bad as he had, she learned some stuff from watching him work. She enlists some help from the animatronics to finish the Fazbear Project for Edwin since he can't in his current state, and they're getting desperate. M1 also just wants Edwin to have some money so he can stay afloat for a while, and she could put in some more time to try helping Edwin get the help he needs.
Given how advanced Edwin's programming capabilities are, the animatronics are basically sentient, with their personalities still programmed into them. They are capable of making decisions for themselves, assessing situations, and feeling emotions. However, Jackie and Dollie were confined to their places at first. M1 uses what she learned from Edwin to change that, freeing Dollie from her track, and getting legs for Jackie. It took some time since she was juggling a lot of things, and even while she was stressed out, she recognized that all of this needed done to move forward with helping Edwin.
In that meantime though, Jackie often babysat David. She did her best to keep him entertained, but David had plenty of bad days himself. He misses his mom, and doesn't know she's still present in M1. He misses Edwin too since Edwin kept himself shut in the house, and David often went with M1 to the factory so he could be supervised by either her, or one of the animatronics, most often Jackie since she is in one of the safest places in the manor. David often sat against Jackie's box on his bad days, holding his white tiger, and crying while Jackie comforts him. Big Top also watches David sometimes and lets him play the games in his showroom.
Speaking of Big Top, he's one of the animatronics that helped the most with the Fazbear Project's completion, along with Dollie for a while before M1 finally gave Jackie legs, so Jackie could also help more. While it's difficult for Big Top to get around, the fact he also has extendable parts allows him to squeeze into some places he normally wouldn't fit. That's not to say he doesn't cause some damage though, he does, but it's rarely major and mostly cosmetic.
Not fully sure yet where i'm going with this au, but i know at some point, i want Edwin to at least have moved past his grief. He could probably end up becoming a competitor to Fazbear Ent tbh. He wouldn't have enough money to retire on so he'd have to build the company back up or find new work, but due to his passion for what he does, i think he would choose his company to keep working on. Perhaps repurpose his animatronics for his own children's attraction. He might go after some of the people who stole his and Fiona's work in a legal pursuit.
I know that Edwin isn't a great father in the lore, but compared to William, Edwin was a good parent. Not a good parent overall, but way better than William was. I don't think Edwin deserved what he got. That's why i decided to make an au like this. Not sure how far i'll get with it though.
I'd love to draw things in a comic form, but i may end up writing things instead. Just k8nda working on the characters for now.
I'm caught up now on EAPS and boy do i have some opinions about it, especially Ruin.
Ruin is a freaking dumbass.
It's even worse than i thought it was. I was right about him being blinded by love, but again, it's even worse than i thought.
I genuinely think there is nothing left to save in his Monty and suppressing the virus like Ruin wants to do isn't good enough. It needs destroyed. I cannot, in good conscience, side with Ruin. I can see his perspective, i understand why he wants what he wants, but the risk to everything else is too high. Ruin's willing to watch another dimension fall to the ruin virus just to get his Monty back and i was so outraged as i watched that i wanted to pull my hair out.
Back to why i don't think there is anything left to save in his Monty, and why i am certain their relationship can't be repaired. Ruin already said that there is nothing of his original Monty left. That he is all virus now, and he's well aware that Charlie will kill him if they end up using her powers to eradicate it. And yet Ruin is going so far just to try getting the husk of his boyfriend back to the base stage of the virus, and even then, i don't think it will work out for them.
I don't think his Monty loves him anymore. He was understandably hurt when Ruin didn't come back for him, and i can see it from both of their perspectives. Ruin thinking he was dead and their dimension crumbled, plus all the bad memories that place held for him. As a person with trauma, i completely relate to not wanting to go back to the places that traumatized me to begin with. On the other end though, who knows how long his Monty was waiting for him, floating in the void. I am absolutely certain that the virus amplified his feelings when he found out how Ruin's life is going now, but i also feel like there is some genuineness to it. He feels understandably hurt and betrayed and he wants Ruin to suffer for it. While i believe the virus had influence over this, i also believe his Monty feels like he does genuinely. So even if he is saved with Ruin's cure, his and Ruin's relationship can't be fixed.
And Ruin is willing to risk everything he has now for this. Everyone he has now, just for his Monty. He wants to delay Eclipse when they have such a limited window of time to get rid of this virus before it destroys them too. There is a reason the saying "if you truly love someone, let them go" exists. And maybe that will be the lesson Ruin has to learn by the end of this, if they make it that far.
I genuinely don't get what Stitchtrap's plan is here, but god, his distraction is working too well. Now Ruin and Eclipse are at eachother's throats trying to stop the ruin virus before it's too late, but they both have their personal reasons for doing it. Ruin wants his Monty back, meanwhile Eclipse is trying to save all of them.
Ruin needs to learn when to let go. I know it's hard to, especially when he loves his Monty so much, but Ruin is only looking out for what he wants, not what everyone (or his Monty) needs. I know, that is a trait of his, but god this situation really made it much worse. I think Afton saying this would be an "ample" distraction was an understatement. It's been very effective. It's tearing rifts between the animatronics.
If his Monty really can be saved, i still think, at this point, death is the better alternative. He's suffering immensely. There is nothing left to save, but Ruin is so blinded by his love that he still thinks there is something there to save. And even if they do manage to save him, like i said above, i don't think their relationship is salvageable.
I just cannot with Ruin right now. I hope he learns something from this before it's too late.
Little piece based around my experience playing Dandy's World that i randomly decided to finally include in my little au.
I've only been playing since right before the Christmas 2025 event started, but one thing stays very consistent. Twisted Teagan stalks me, i swear.
I have asked multiple people about it, and they all have said that Twisted Teagan doesn't usually spawn that often for them. But for me? She spawns so often that she may as well be a common. Pretty much every run i do, without fail, she will show up, sometimes multiple floors in a row. This honestly wouldn't annoy me nearly this much but the fact is that Twisted Teagan always seems to find me. I also am often the first person she spots, no matter what toon i am. Even as Astro when plenty of lower stealth toons are around, she seems to almost always find me first.
I know she is an uncommon so her spawns are not really that rare, but this has been an ongoing pattern since i first started. So much so that she is the twisted i hate the most. I don't even hate the commons, rares, mains, or other uncommons, but Twisted Teagan? I despise her.
So therefore, i decided to add a Stalker Teagan to my au. Just for the hell of it. She stalks North, and Dyle isn't having it.
For anyone who has seen my last post, you probably know why. If not, North (North Star Astro) is Dyle's bf in this au.
Also note: not all the Teagans that exist here are like this, there is just this one that's like this. Yes there are multiple Teagans, each one is a different one of Teagan's existing skins. This one is just a default cuz Twisted Teagan is, of course, a default.
Also here's a partially Twisted Dyle. It's a transition phase when he's twisting (phase 1). He won't always twist all the way. Once he's calmed down, he'll revert to Toon Dyle. Can be done at any phase between toon and twisted.
When he's twisting, his fangs, claws, and tail will show. His eyes will also be tinted pink like Twisted Glisten when he's not yet broken, getting redder as he gets more twisted. And he will also grow in size.
Today's ep was devastating and makes me kinda regret what i said before, but at the same time, i was partially right. Ruin's Monty would be better off dead. I don't mean that in a harsh way, but he is clearly suffering so much, and i understand why he didn't want Charlie telling Ruin that he was still there, because that would hurt Ruin much worse or possibly delay them even more in getting rid of the virus because Ruin would be reinvigorated in his desire to save him.
I would say more but my power is out so i need to conserve my battery. ;v;
I am.. genuinely very distraught that Eaps is ending very soon. It's been my favorite show since it started. I don't watch SAMS much anymore except the episodes that were crossover parts for Eaps and Sams. I don't see myself going back to Sams either. And i've missed so much now that it'd be a real pain to catch up again (over 6 months of missed content by now). I'd been throwing around the idea of starting to watch the Freddy and Jackie Show for about a week or so, since i'm pretty much obsessed with Jackie right now, and before the Daycare Attendant, Freddy was my favorite fnaf character. Maybe it was a premonition of some kind..
I'm gonna miss EAPS so much, but i wish Davis and Flora the best with their future projects.
