what's the best climate to try and buy land on in your opinion?
Great question, I’ll be answering from the standpoint of a homesteader as I assume that’s what you meant and that’s what I’m most familiar with. I’ll also be focusing largely on climate rather than other factors such as prices, laws, culture, proximity, etc. I’ll be focusing on the USA.
Just off the top of my head, outside of the incorporated areas of Nevada and especially Utah, think Bailey’s eco-region 341. Maine/Wisconsin/Michigan (212) is also good, although you’d have to adapt to the cold. West Virginia/Kentucky/Carolinas/Georgia (231) would also be worth considering.
