OMG, Les Miserables wants me back! All the managers are chill now (or as chill as they can get), and we have some new faces already. There’s a new guy playing Marius so I’m excited to meet him. And we’re looking for more staff if you guys need somewhere to go!
The audience in the Hopping Bunny Bar and Karaoke was sparse, or so she could tell from behind the curtain. It was pretty slow weekday night, so the customers who did come in would probably be at the bar. The manager had finally let her have a gig, a little side project for both of them. The other singers weren’t thrilled, if the daggers they were glaring couldn’t tell you anything. Time to get this train wreck over with. Stop that, if Susan Boyle can sing in front of a crowd of hundreds, you can do this. Don’t psych yourself out. With that, she stepped out. “Hey, how are you guys going tonight?”
The glances some of the male patrons were giving her told her they wouldn’t be very interested in her singing. She continued, “I’ll be singing “I Dreamed a Dream” from Les Miserables.”
Phew, I am spent! Ethan and I are about to catch a red-eye back to New York after a very full day here in California at Superbowl 50. It has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl to preform at a major sporting event and today that dream came true. I have so many people to thank, firstly to the NFL for being so warm and kind to me, to the coaches and players who couldn’t have been more kind. To my amazingly talented new makeup artist Ethan Monroe who made me look and feel like a queen, no one does it like you can, babe. And of course to my wardrobe team, I loved the outfits you choose for me tonight -- you sure do know how to make a girl feel special. This was truly a day I’ll never forget.
As much as I enjoyed myself, I can’t wait to get back to work. See you in a few hours, New York. xo
I feel like I should probably be stocking up on food before this snowstorm hits...
I’m a little too addicted to the show “Lost”. I even thought of playing the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, and 42 for the Powerball. This show is taking over my life.
I have the sudden urge to make Scott Pilgrim the Musical. Music and lyrics by Beck, of course.
I’m already dressed in my pajamas and sitting in bed before 10pm... Wow, I really need to get some friends... Or a social life.
Sing Once Again With Me//Cece + Kyle
Now that she was back in New York, Cece knew that without a doubt that she needs to see Kyle. She had failed to keep in contact with him while gone and she felt awful, just down right horrible about that. She went to his apartment, but found out that he wasn’t there. So then, the woman went to where Phantom was being showed at, hoping to find him there. She had heard a rumour that he was no long playing as the Phantom, but she did have a feeling that he would probably be there to visit friends who were still in the musical. After reuniting with some of them and now on the stage, she stopped.
The brunette looked out at the seats, nostalgia filling her heart and soul as she remembered those few nights when she did get to play Christine. She has heard that Katja has been doing an excellent job, which Cece is very happy and proud of to hear. Thinking that she could take a small break from looking for her brother, she looked at the pianist, who seemed to have read her mind. They nodded at each other and he began to play the song, the woman taking her cue as she began to sing.
