Notice how the real Marlon Bundo in the left picture has the realistic laterally placed eyes of real rabbits, whereas the more caricatured version of him in the right picture has frontally places eyes. Most of the real chordate animals have eyes that are, to some extent or another, laterally placed. In cartooning and animation, the eyes of animals with laterally-placed eyes (like rabbits, horses, chickens, and ducks) are usually placed forward in the head akin to the frontal eye placement of actual monkeys, apes (such as humans), cats, and owls to better convey eye expressions. Easier to see both eyes on more views with frontally and semi frontally placed eyes han laterally placed ones. At least cartooned Marlon Bundo is more accurate to the features of real bunnies than the average cartoon or cartooned bunny by keeping his v nose and furry feet soles and not adding (the inaccurate) foot pads.
