𝙂𝙞𝙛𝙩𝙚𝙙 🐔 Check out these buttermilk fried chicken tenders from @cluckfarmyard. I thought they were great, the batter is light and crispy, the chicken is tender and juicy, and both together felt clean an oil-free. They come 5 ways; bbq, buffalo, Greek, plain, and Korean (pictured). Seoul to Soul, gochujang glaze, spicy mayo, pickled cucumber, spring onions, and sesame seeds. The chips are nice too! Crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle, and again not greasy or oily at all. £10 all in with 4 strips, with chips costing £3 on their own anyway, I don’t think it’s too bad given the quality of the chicken. One of the new traders at the newly relocated @brookgreen_mk is @pleasantladytrading making Jian Bing, which is a traditional Chinese savoury crepe with an eggy coat, sweet & savoury sauce, along with a filling of your choice. This is the Iberico Pork, because the Miso grill chicken was sold out 😢. But there was no need for me to be sad as the pork was sooo good! For me this is half pancake, half omelette, with a nice crispy snap to it. The pork was beautiful and was marinated very nicely. New kids on the block @smallfrylondon have joined the new and improved @brookgreen_mk! Moving a couple of minutes away to a new school playground, Brook Green Farmers Market has literally quadrupled in size, which means more traders! @smallfrylondon are serving up their lightly battered seafood and veg tempura, and honestly it was delicious! The sea food (it’s a mix of stuff) was so soft and perfectly cooked, and that batter was light and fluffy, but the veg gave it an earthy salty balance that works perfectly with the gochujang mayo. We’ve been going to @brookgreen_mk every 1 or 2 weeks for a while now and I’ve seen @beyroots.eat there on most occasions but always went with something else, until last week. I wish I had tried them a lot sooner as I LOVED this wrap! The Lebanese street food truck has a selection of flatbread wraps and I went for grilled lamb, with Garlic sauce, chilli sauce, and tahini, then I added Halloumi to it. Other options include chicken, falafel, and Halloumi on its own. I know I’ve spoken about it 100 times lately but @brookgreen_mk just gets better and better. Last weekend @8unhouse made an appearance and had queues like I’d never seen there! It’s a bittersweet feeling though as we got to the front and most had sold out 🥺. Yes, I could have waited 5 minutes for the beef to cook and be ready, but I went with the pork and veggie instead.
