Cor really doesn’t like suck-ups.
That’s some high school-esque type of relationship building and he’s 100% Not For It. You can’t work as part of a team/military unit if you put people on pedestals. Or, you know, if you try to gain prestige through anything but your own merit.
Either way, it’s annoying.
If this person is a citizen, he just avoids them. He’s surprisingly good at avoidance when the situation calls for it.
If they’re a Crownsguard or Glaive? Oh, this is easy slightly sadistic fun a known occurrence in the Citadel.
It’s usual sparring practice time but for some reason everybody is there. Clarus is somewhere in the back of the room, oh boy if he’s here this must be big.
A plant in the crowd (never Gladio, too obvious. Ignis and Monica are subtler choices) calls for the Marshal to demonstrate his skills.
Cor does a simple kata, then gets his current annoyance’s attention.
They praise his skills so much, surely they’d love a chance to see them first-hand?
He does show some restraint. Nothing is broken except their pride.
Usually, that does the trick.
