On this day 20 years ago, Toonami aired “Ginyu Assault” and “Incredible Force!”, the first “new” episodes to air on the block. Up to this point, Toonami was airing reruns of the first 2 seasons that had previously aired in syndication by Saban Entertainment a few years prior. This also marked a new era since from this point on, the English dubbing was done in-house at Funimation and had no involvement with Saban or Ocean Group like they did with the previous 2 seasons, hence the lighter restrictions with censorship on Cartoon Network.
