Latest in musical mysteries- a German audio play and its sequel, about a double bass that I thought was a guitar at first glance because, well, he certainly doesn't look like a double bass.

Very little information is avalible about this series online, to the extent that I had to resort to reading reviews written by people who had this as kids to glean plot information, but I was eventually able to uncover this:

Brummi auf Reisen had Brummi running around and meeting different musical instruments; someone even called out how this was rather similar to Piccolo, Saxo et Compagnie. Meanwhile, the sequel Brummi und die Rock Band didn't have the band appear until rather late in the story.

Thanks to some photos of the albums, we've got an instrument list for both records (whoops, looks like they forgot to put in a picture of a piccolo).

If anybody would upload one or both records online, I would be very grateful.
