It's my birthday! 🎉 And for this occasion, to honor hobbit tradition, I have prepared a gift for you... which are my first ever Procreate brush sets!
Thunderbird Arts Beadwork Brush Set
Ever tried to draw beaded earrings or subjects that featured beadwork, but hate individually drawing all the beads? I have just the brushes for you! And it's FREE!
The brushes move in the direction you move the mouse/pen in. The brush set includes more opaque beads, and then a transparent version that you can use as a highlight overtop that (or play with it in other ways). This brush file is mainly used for photoshop, but I believe some Clip Studio Paints can also open photoshop brushes. Adjust the brush settings as necessary. Access to brush set file download is here.
You can also use the brushes to create a new pattern, and then use that pattern with the path tool to make more precise lines for the brush to follow if you don't want to draw it out yourself. An example of this in use is below under the cut.
Credit or payment is not necessary, but is appreciated! If you'd like to show your appreciation in a monetary tip, my ko-fi is here.
🔥🪥Use SPRINGBUG for 5️⃣0️⃣% off on my brushes/resources! Ends on April 13.
I've opened a shop. Come take a look!
We got brushes on ko-fi (for free!)
Matts Free Messy Brush Pack + Texture Assets for Procreate is now available for download over on my Gumroad storefront: here
This Messy Brush Pack is listed as free/pay what you want - it's important to me that creative tools and resources are financially accessible to those who want to explore and play but can't feasibly do so - if you want to test the brushes out, you can always pay later (but it is not mandatory) if you do want to support my practice!!
What's Included?
x4 of Matts Messy Brushes:
Messy Inky Outline – a light and loose ink brush that can be used for linework, it emulates the build up of ink depending on the pen tilt angle.
Messy Ink Liner – designed to emulate a dry ink texture with grit, feels like your trusty ink pen is almost out of ink.
Messy Inker – great for blocking out shapes and forms, is slightly translucent - can be used as a quick & dirty fill brush.
Messy Pencil – emulates a soft pencil quality that builds up, you use the Inky Outline brush as an eraser to tidy up the rough edges after rendering to your hearts content.
x12 Texture Asset Files:
Texture Assets – a selection of 12 custom texture files, they are all in Grayscale, use them as clipping masks on fill layers or linework, play with the layer filter types and opacity (they're great fun the adjust, my favorite preference is the soft light layer filter at 60% opacity!!) you can erase parts of them using the brushes in this Messy Brush pack to better curate where you want texture to be in your piece, generally are very intuitive to work with!!
I am currently hard at work developing + revising what will be a larger brush pack for Procreate - currently at 60+ brushes in counting - custom brush stamp shapes, grains etc. This future brush pack will be appropriately priced and be released alongside a condensed version of the pack, so customers who are low-income can still partake and play with some fun brushes. Thank you for your support and enjoy these free tools + assets!! If you would like to stay updated with my work, you can find me over on: instagram | bluesky | twitter | patreon | linkedin *ੈ✩‧₊˚
Honestly i forgot if i asked or not so… brushes?
I know this question is repetitive but as a new procreate user i’ve been trying to find brushes i like and i noticed your pencil brush and went :o

Jingsketch's Brushes
Most of my brushes have been modified slightly to fit my personal drawing flow - so I cannot guarantee that they'll look 1:1 when you download them from their OG source. Especially the Edge Control has been modified to be without texture (Jing's OG brush has a texture applied to it), and the Airbrush is just Procreate's standard airbrush with tweaked color jitter to give the rimmed color effect. My Procreate's in german, sorry :']
There's a few more brushes I use from several brushsets, and I switch between them so frequently it's impossible to say "those are the one's I use constantly" except those I've shown above, but I'll link some more I use here & there:

Is your ottercat brushset on gumroad?
No, unfortunately not, since gumroad, ko-fi and pretty much every website that can be used for sharing brushpacks won’t let you upload stuff without owning an uhhh… proper bank account :< as far as I’m concerned. I’ve heard that brushpack files can be shared through a google drive link tho, which I’m ‘bout to try out now - let’s see if it works :D
Ottercat_Brushset
It’s for procreate and procreate only …and it’s free :0
(this was possible thanks to the help of Pika :D
What textures have you been using in your art lately? I love the textures of the lines and the filter! And i noticed you also use procreate, do you recommending any good blending brushes? I found Procreate’s blending very… barebones kinda, was hoping a recommendation since i also use the funny brush!
This took me a bit to find my brushes online cuz I can't export files </3 but !! For lineart currently, I've been using these squiggle brushes - they're heaps of fun and crunchy, I like the feel of them a lot
For textures/overlays I just use textured brushes, you won't catch me using the blending tool at all either, I'm no expert in that
I blend with the brushes itself
Sorry if this isn't too helpful, my colouring and line method is very simple and to the point haha . Hope the brushes work out though !
