Notes: They’d gone to the library for a bit of peace and quiet, but a little unexpected company isn’t always so bad.
Warnings: None.
BLAINE:
When choices of describing character had him caught between either introversion or extroversion, Blaine was never exactly sure where he stood on that scale while turning to either one to label himself with felt like a betrayal of his personality. So he took the loud moments with grins and laughter, and more how-do-you-do’s than he’d ever know what to do with, and enjoyed the quiet minutes in silence as they came, so he takes his long awaited Saturday into considerate hands and heads off to the library.
It isn’t long before he’s heading idly down aisle to aisle, looking over names and numbers and lazily flicking through the low hum of music plugged through his earphones as sluggishly languid in sound as the silence between the stacks. He wasn’t exactly sure what he was looking for, but Blaine came to a stop and gave an experimental reach towards the highest shelf, reaffirming his suspicions that he wasn’t quite tall enough to drag one of the books out. His mind jumped ahead, and pulling one of the buds from his ear, Blaine brushed his fingers over the arm of the figure that’d just been moving to pass him by.
“Sorry, do you think you could...” His words trailed off with a closer look, and a small smile jumped over his lips in recognition. “Oh! You’re one of the Gilbert brothers!” Tucking away his earphones, Blaine instinctively offered out a hand for a shake. “Blaine. Hi.”
