he had a collection of kermit dolls tucked between his bed and the wall

he used to post about them on fancafe

The Beginning of Jikook? (Publicly...)

I had a revelation last night while I was doing research for my Jikook Timeline, and I have never in my months on Jikook twitter/tumblr ever seen anyone talk about this. I don’t know if it’s a new discovery or something people just haven’t connected the dots publicly before, but I can’t keep quiet about it. 

I’ll start with the background events, so you have context into what the members were going through, then I’ll present what I’ve found, then I’ll tell you what I think about all of it. Even if you don’t necessarily believe there’s anything more than friends going on between Jikook, just read what I wrote, and then think about it. I won’t try to convince you of anything. I’m honestly really shocked about what I’ve found. I’m the type of person to always err on the side of caution, especially with matters of real people, so I want to affirm that nothing is real until they tell us it is. That being said, this twitter interaction I found doesn’t seem to have a platonic explanation. So let’s get started!

Background: 

August 2015. BTS is in the middle of an International tour; The Red Bullet Part 2. 

On August 18, during the Osaka leg of their tour, Jimin had a fainting incident, and ended up being sent to the hospital. He was unable to perform that night. It was a very traumatic event for members and ARMY alike. ARMYs reported that Jungkook was crying during the performance.

On August 20, during Jimin’s first performance back since the incident, a really meaningful interaction took place between Jimin and Jungkook, caught on camera.

Jungkook directly sang him romantic lyrics, and Jimin couldn’t keep himself from grinning for the rest of the performance. 

Event:

August 23, Jungkook posted a song recommendation on Twitter. 

The song is entitled 'I Will Give Everything to You" by Lee Jang Hee. Tae and JK sang this song together on a Vlive a few days prior to this Twitter post, and a kind ARMY posted a translation of the lyrics. 

“I will pick off the stars and give (them) fully to your two hands.”

At 2-3 am that night (if I am correct in my timezone conversion), Jimin posted a tweet, with no context, unprompted.

"The stars in the night sky🎶😳"

My thoughts:

First of all, I want to say that as a Jikooker, I was always a little hesitant to believe the theories that the song recommendations that Jungkook post are related to Jikook. Mostly because it can be a blurry line of overanalyzing everything a person does to have it fit into your ship. However, this post makes me kind of question that. 

It seems like Jimin’s tweet was in direct response to JK’s song recommendation, and... well, it includes a blushing emoji. 

I think at the time of the boys tweeting this, the connection may not have been made my ARMY because at that point, there hadn’t really been any ‘suspicious’ occurrences between Jikook. However, in hindsight, this seemed to be a very intimate, non-platonic interaction between the two members in plain sight. And nobody questioned a thing! 

In my opinion, this is where the floodgates burst open in terms of Jimin and Jungkook’s more questionable interactions. This whole sequence events seemed to be a turning point to me.

Whether or not you ‘believe’ in the pairing is up to you, and I won’t judge you. But either way, this interaction is clearly a milestone that the Jikook fandom should be aware of!
