You stand by the door of your apartment, which is on the bottom floor and he's holding your hand, still, looking around curiously since he's never really been to your place before.
A single lantern illuminates the area around you.
You push in, turning the knob and set your things down by the front door. Jimin takes off his jacket.
Through the window, you notice it has started to rain, rather heavily. "We missed it," you hum, satisfied.
"Looks like we did..." Jimin replies, taking off his shoes and stepping inside, taking a long look around.
He carefully removes a wine bottle from his bag and sets it down on a side table near the couch.
You waltz into the kitchen and come back with two glasses in one hand. "This will end badly for our friendship...." you mumble, putting one hand around his waist.
"Do you care?" he slurs.
"Not in the least..."
He handles the bottle between his legs, uncorking it with somewhat ease, then he brings your glass to the neck and pours you about a half way full.
You imbibe it casually, shrugging off the oddly high amount. He drinks more.
It pours down his throat like liquid silk. One action slips into another...Your hands start on his waist and then his thighs, and through laughter and random stories nobody can really remember...the feeling making him blush, his mouth tingling and his thoughts wandering.
You kiss.
And you kiss again-- and you kiss again until you can't tell the difference between your bodies anymore.
You chase his lips, and he melts with every sip, his fingers finding curious ways to cling your body to his.
It's broken and messy, giggles stringing them along in a series of passionate and flirtatious embraces.
"I love kissing you," you admit, your hands on his warm chest.
He pants, a thrill in his eyes, clouded by a drunken guise. "I love...you,"

UMM I put a bit more angst than I planned on. Pt 2 if y’all love soft kook.
Grudgingly you tried to get up, but quickly realized how futile it was when you had to bite your lip to avoid tears from slipping out. A sharp pain pierced your head and colorful spots flashed your vision, it felt like your whole body had been worn away ceasing every movement to ache. The ground beneath you seemingly wrapped you in its coldness and your damp clothes didn’t seem to help.
For perhaps a split second, you were no longer worried about freezing to death. A rigid feeling grazed your skin and its warm touch made you cease your shaking from coldness, but the fact that you didn’t recognize what was touching you made you anxious. Your vision becomes slightly clearer and you notice someone’s arm have wrapped around your form as they lay beside you. The blood drains from your face, your eyes expanding when you finally see what seems to be a human with scaly patches covering his body.
When he noticed you had stop shaking, he glanced at your expression and he was just surprised as you were, “Oh um Hi,” He nervously breathes out. “You were shivering and I wanted to give you my warmth…I didn’t know you were awake. I’m sorry,” he rambles as he unwraps his arms around you.
“You…” Your voice came out harshly and uneven. Your eyes danced around at your surroundings noticing you were in some sort of cave. You could see the hybrid twitched involuntarily at the corner of your eyes, his mouth formed a tense pout as he awaits for your next words. “You saved me?...Thanks,” you whispered. You were parched and your voice no longer held a sustainable tone.
His eyes brimmed with joy forming little crescents at your words. He felt so full of joy from a simple thanks. That’s when he realized his life wasn’t so bad, if you were by his side. His customary cautious poker face that he had adopted throughout the years exploded into a radiant smile. How did you break his barrier so easily? He sweared he was mentally stronger than this. “I’M…” he said too loudly before stoping to contain his excitement. “I am Jungkook,” he smiles, but If he had a tail you would have seen him wag a 100 miles per hour.
“Hey…I’m Y/N,” you manage to smile back at him and he looks pleased at himself.
He scooted a bit closer to you, to hopefully give you enough body heat again, “How did you get here?” His head tilts in curiosity. He never met a human this close on the island. Well, he didn’t really meet any of the other hybrids either, but this new experience excited him. At first, Jungkook didn’t care when he saw a lifeless human on the shore, he assumed it was one of the evil people who had brought all the hybrids here to rot in their demise, but this human didn’t wear the typical bright and ugly yellow outfit. He slid over to you out of pure curiosity, but he never realized he would bring you into his cave.
“I’m not sure. My last memory was being in a yacht,” you say as you examined the man. His eyes were round and seemed to have glowed when the moon illuminated his hues from the cave. The other noticeable feature besides his scales were his canines being slightly longer than usual. You notice Jungkook give out a soft yawn before looking at you again .“Sorry…I’m probably intruding. Shouldn’t you go to sleep? You helped me a lot already,” you say as he hands you a large leaf filled with water.
“Oh, don’t worry about me. I’m mostly nocturnal.” He smiles as he watches you gulp down the water.
You wiped your wet stained lips when the water dribbled down. “May I ask what hybrid you are?” You heard some people back at home talking about hybrids, but you never really believed it. Now seeing one right in front of you, definitely peaked your interest.
Jungkook was shocked at the question, he didn’t expect you to ask so soon. All the reasons not to reveal his identity came flooding in, as if he would fall back into his hole of anxiety if he did. He panicked with the thought that you would leave him like all the other hybrids, when he told them that he was a snake hybrid. You were already incredibly nice and he didn’t want it to come crashing down, at least not yet.
The words didn’t come out and you noticed his eyes flickering about. “I didn’t mean to pry. Can I just say, I feel oddly inclined to trust you,” you admitted.
“You do?” He stammered. “Thanks, Y/n” The nervous tingle he felt vanish and he was back to his bubbly self.
You sighed in satisfaction when the mood was uplifted once more. “By the way, do you know a way I can get back home?”
He felt conflicted. He wanted to help you, but at the same time he hoped you would somehow stay in his lonely place he had called home. Although he wants you, needs you, maybe even love you... presumably you will have to walk away. In this world, he was never supposed to meet you anyway. He couldn’t possibly steal your happiness for his greedy heart. “Yes, I do,” a soft but audible whisper left his lips. He tells you about how the government had dumped hybrids on this island in order to keep the idea of such beings as a fantasy and away from human minds. He mentions the weekly shipment of hybrids and that’s how you could escape. All you had to do was wait for another 6 days, stand on the dock and go in their ship. Before you know it, the sun had risen and the sleep in Jungkook’s eyes becomes apparent.
“Sleep well, Kook. Thanks for everything,” you soothed as his eyelids seemed to droop.
The nickname he earned continued to soften his cold heart, but your words made him nervous. Why did it sound like a farewell? He tried to stay awake by shaking his head vigorously. The soft hand rubbing his hair didn’t help and he snoozed off into your arms. You had relocated him onto the light that seeped through the cave before stepping out into the wilderness, beyond his small cave.
You started walking, inching toward nothing in particular and enjoying the warm rays. It was different from just going into your backyard to bask in the sun. The wilderness aspect made you feel more free, besides the fact that you were moving agonizingly slow due to the aches in your legs.
Just as you saw a creek nearby, you heard heavy footsteps crunching the leaves. It got increasing louder and moved towards you. You didn’t move a muscle and you held your breathe, somehow believing it would go away if you stayed silent.
“Human?” A raspy voices calls out. “So this new smell was you,” a male hybrid walks out from behind the tree. He was very tall and his shoulder was broad. His face was engraved with a frown. He shook his head in disapproval when he noticed where you had come from. “So you met the snake,”
“Who?” Your brows creased in confusion.
“That cave,” he pointed to Jungkook’s place with a disgusted look on his face. “The snake is really sly, he really likes to size up his prey and treat them nicely before he eats them,”
“He would not. You don’t even seem to know his name, so who are you to judge,” You critizited. His round ears flopped downward before he began to walk closer to you. Way to close and for some reason even though you had talked back to him, he still had an intimidating aura that made you freeze.
He lowered his head near your ear and you felt his breathe on your skin. “I’m just trying to help you out human,” He tries to suppress a growl, but it felt threatening nonetheless. You were afraid, but you try not to let it show. “I’m a bear hybrid I could protect you way better than that fool. Plus I saw a boat sailing nearby that’s probably looking for you. Don’t you want to go home?” he fed you lies hoping you would take it out of desperation. The bear loathed the snake, despised how strong and intelligent he was. He always made sure no hybrid came close, but for some reason you remain unaffected by his words. How dare you go against his wishes.
You backed away from the fuming bear that seemingly wanted to rip your throat , “Too bad I don’t trust you,” it was a risk to provoke a bear hybrid, but the adrenaline pulsing through you made you stick your tongue out before heading towards the creek. It was silent for a while and you had a silver of hope that you won the verbal battle. If it got physical you were fucked. The throb in your body still remained and you were starving. One punch and you are a goner for sure.
“You’re hungry right. I can help,” he made himself known again, but in a calmer manner than before. His fake personality masked over once more, a smile appearing on his face. He really thought you were oblivious to his trick.
You dipped your feet into the cool water that rushed past in a refreshing way. The bear was unwavering from his spot, he stalked you like a small prey. “Don’t need any help,” You say as you observe the slow moving water for some fish. You were able to spot something glimmer in the early morning sun and bended down to get a hold of one. A success, you were glad that you had prior experience. You smirked, seeing the shock register on his face.
“BiTcH. Don’t cry for help when you are eaten alive,” He yells, hands bawling into fists before he shape-shifted and disappeared into the trees. He knew it was pointless to fight a mere human that had no power in the hierarchy of the hybrid world.
Meanwhile, Jungkook shotted up, eyes wandering in search for you. When he recognized your silhouette coming towards him he smiled, but that smile only lasted for a few seconds.
Jungkook’s nose twitched. He recognized the scent coming off you and worry clouded his thoughts. “Did someone try to hurt you?” He hissed, the suffocating smell invaded his cave. Nothing good came from this scent, he had associated it with the depths of hell and the fact that it covered you angered him. He wasn’t able to protect you. “He hurt you didn’t he,” his voice raised up fifty octaves.
He bares his fangs and his forked tongue flicks out subconsciously. He didn’t even realize how all those years of repressing his animalistic side was becoming undone by the second. You watch as his pupils contracted into a vertical slit. His attention was solely focused on you, cutting off anything that could possibly distract him. That’s when he noticed how stiff you were and how your soft smile no longer condoned your facial features.
“Kook…I’m okay. I can kick ass,” you made the effort to sound reassuring, despite how weak you feel.
He sighed, you probably knew that he was a snake by now, but for some reason you didn’t act any different. All the friends that he made ran away after this scent was on them, yet you were still here. This gave him the confidence he thought he didn’t need, but now he couldn’t help but love you even more. “Thats good,” he huffed. Silence filled the cave and he insisted to hear more reassurance. “You really trust me?” he trembled.
The simple caress of his hair became a fulfillment of his desire and crave for affection. “Yes,” you said, running your hand through his hair again until he seemingly purred against your hand. That’s all he needed before his shoulder fell from its intensity and his pupil dilated back to its original state. To be trusted is a great acknowledgment than being loved. If that’s all you can offer then he would gladly accept it.
How did anyone want to hurt this little ball of sunshine? It was as if all the pain in his world had finally found a voice. “I would fight him if I needed to,” you laughed, lightening the mood.
“Fight a bear?!? Don’t do that…” he mumbled, resting his head on your shoulder.
You raised a brow and a sly face appeared, “Kook if I could..” You laughed, when you registered the shock plastered on Jungkook’s face as you shoved him to the floor, one of your hands easing into the space above his right hip. He didn’t even realize that it was where he was most ticklish. Now making him squirm and laugh uncontrollably. “If I could beat you. I can beat a god damm bear”
You were on top of him and his face was brighter than ever. Not Fair. So not fair. He loved you so much even though he’s known you for 10 hours… how can he be so hopelessly in love.
Of course he didn’t dare push you off, so he allowed your assaults to continue, until laughing brought aches in his stomach. You bended down to give a kiss on his nose before you lay beside him , “You got a very boopable nose,” you innocently acknowledge without noticing how Jungkook literally turned into putty in your hands. How was he gonna handle it when you leave him. This left a bittersweet taste in his mouth, but he was gonna enjoy this moment for now. Because there’s nothing better than deep breaths after laughing so hard. Nothing that feels as great as a sore stomach for the right reason.
I'm not the best with writing this kind of thing but I tried, sorry for it being so short, I couldn't think of much since this isn't my writing style ;-;

Warnings: GN! Reader, other than that nothing really, I tried to make it cute
You knew it was rude to stare, but you couldn't help yourself, the game on your phone long forgotten. The man in front of you sitting in the booth within the comfortable confines of the coffee shop, who luckily was your boyfriend or this whole thing would be just strange, wasn't paying any mind to your gaze. His focus was instead on his own phone, the words of an article or email blurred on the dim screen.
He decided not to wear any makeup today, showing off the pleasant bumpy texture of his skin. Everything was vulnerable to the shine and shadows of the morning sun. Big ears peeked out beneath greasy platinum strands of hair while his earrings glimmered beautifully. Taehyung's thick lips were parted and his brows were knit in concentration on whatever has was reading. He took a deep breath for a second, chest and shoulders rising before gradually slipping back into that relaxed posture, slouched over the table. His head cocked to the side before those elegant hands of his wrapped around his tea.
"That's enough of that then." He was speaking more to himself than to you, though the open endedness of his tone prompted you to ask.
"Hmm?" you could only hum, entranced and eager to hear him speak again. The deep brown of his eyes met yours before flitting back down to his screen. Taehyung's hand flipped up in annoyance.
"These stupid people," he started, but you weren't paying much attention. His voice resonated sweetly, the husky tone soft against your ears. His hands did more talking, gesturing out to you for emphasis on his point. It made you feel almost warm. Maybe that was just the coffee getting to you, but you liked the idea more of his voice embracing you. His eyes were trained on yours, widening and narrowing at certain points as he continued.
"You know what I mean?" he finished, setting his hands back down on the table before taking another sip. You nodded, not knowing a single thing he said the whole time. Taehyung tilted his head at you.
"Y/n? Are you okay?" he questioned, leaning forward. His shoulders hunched a little, his arms reaching out to you. Your own hand left your phone and held onto his. His skin was smooth, healthy. You nodded, almost forgetting to answer.
"You sure baby?" he tried again, "you haven't really touched your coffee, it's still full."
"Yes, Tae, I'm alright. I'm just listening to you." you offered him a gentle smile which he returned in kind. His eyes glanced at the surface of the table, shy at the attention you gave him. He shook his head.
"You didn't hear a word I said a minute ago did you?" he knew. You couldn't help but giggle, also shaking your head. He rolled his eyes playfully.
The sun was just about to set, yet the sky grew so dark that you would have thought it was the middle of the night. At first, the only sound outside was the humidity. The air somehow as comforting as the blankets and pillows you were wrapped in. However, when the sky began darkening, all you had to do was head to your kitchen to get a glass of water and crawl back in bed, which was just about the size of your room, before a heavy wind settled. As the thickness of the storm grew so did your anxiety.
Your room was literally just big enough to fit your twin-sized bed and your desk just a few steps away, you could have reached it from where you were laying. All that was in the room besides that was a window just next to you, a small pathway to the door which led to the rest of your apartment, not much larger than your bedroom itself, and your cat Mochi. He was hiding under the desk. You beckoned him to curl up next to you, but he knew all of your tricks and fell for none of them. “Scaredy cat,” you retorted, rolling over and turning your back to him as you silently pouted.
You had tried to hide yourself in under your blankets and ignore the imminent storm. Immediately, rain started pouring. At first the sound was gentle, so you allowed it to lull you asleep. But then it quickly became overpowering, making it so you couldn’t see anything but rain and the collision it made with the pavement outside. You winced when you could sense flashes of light, making you feel anxious because you knew that you would hear thunder just as intense as the brightness of the lightning.
As much as you didn’t want to admit it, the rumbling of the thunder scared you. You could feel it vibrate your house it was so powerful. Mochi scattered out of the room, as you had left the door cracked open, to find a less exposing hiding spot.
Though your bed was only meant for one, and occasionally the addition of your cat, you could feel an absence as heavy as the rainfall outside. You felt like this when you became anxious on stormy nights or wistful during light rainfalls. You picked up your phone as you were under the covers and called the only person who could fill that gap and make you feel at ease, “Jin..”
“Wae..?” He answered drowsily, “What is it?” The smoothness in his voice was absent, but you found that the grogginess comforted you. You felt you were conversing with a Jin that only he allowed himself to reveal in front of you that way.
Another sound of thunder erupted. You were only wearing a tank top but that’s not why you shivered.
It had been a few hours since the storm started, and it was now really late. “I’m sorry I woke you..” Though this type of weather made you afraid to be alone, it was the first time you were calling Jin because of it. You wanted to at least hear his voice, feel some part of his presence, so that he could ease your anxiousness. “It’s just that I can’t sleep.”
You sat up on the edge of your bed, your blanket wrapped around you but your bare feet exposed and touching the floor.
He must have sensed there was something wrong with your voice, sense some part of your uneasiness. He didn’t sound sleepy any more. But the grogginess was still there. After a pause, he answered, “It’s okay. I’ll stay with you on the phone until you can."
"Okay."
"Y/N?”
“Yeah?”
Jin’s voice, or just his presence, must had soothed you so much that when the next sound of thunder approached you practically jumped. You heard muffled sounds coming from your phone, but in a split second a bright flash of lightning illuminated your whole room so you braced yourself by diving back onto your bed, making sure your face was buried in your pillow. You must have chucked your phone across the room in the process, because you noticed it lying on the floor.
You grew enough courage to escape from the safety of your bed and bend down to pick it up. The screen was cracked and it was turned off, permanently. You silently cursed.
However, you didn’t have much time to freak over your broken phone before the power went out. You had your desk lamp on, hating the idea of only having the illumination of frequent lightning strikes. You checked the lights in your apartment hall, reluctantly, just to verify that it was a blackout. It was.
You sighed, more out of uneasiness than disbelief. You rushed back to your bedroom as you heard more thunder, the kind that made you feel it could shake the entire building. You jumped back in your covers, grabbing a flashlight from under your bed.
Then you heard a knock at your door. It surprised you, so you just laid in bed, registering it for a moment. The only thing you could think of was that it was Jin, concerned about the disconnection. His dorm was only a few blocks away after all.
You dismissed the idea, just as the knocking continued. Extremely reluctantly, you inched your way out into the more open space of your living area and then the front door.
You answered, probably looking ridiculous due to lack of sleep, a blanket wrapped over your head, and a flashlight in one hand with your other on the doorknob, just staring at your neighbor, who had knocked on your door, slightly wildly but more paranoid about nothing in particular.
Namjoon lived right across the hall from you, “Hey, can I borrow a flashlight? I keep tripping over things just trying to find mine.” He didn’t seem phased by your appearance, just physically in pain. He winced as he rubbed his forehead, “It was kind of a challenge to get over here.”
You looked at him as if you were concerned, for his tendencies towards mayhem that was. "Yeah, sure." Namjoon was usually always asked you for odd favors, usually to borrow or fix something, even though you kept telling him you were as good as fixing things as he was at keeping them fixed.
"Hey, Namjoon, do you have a cell I could borrow? I kind of broke mine."
"I see our roles have reversed," he laughed lightly, then stopped, "I left it in my apartment.. So I'll have to get it and bring it back.."
Uncertain about the idea, you just handed Namjoon the flashlight you had in your hand instead of searching fifteen minutes to find him another one, "You'll need it more than me."
Since your neighbor left, you tried finding yourself another flashlight, taking a moment every two minutes to wrap your blanket in front of your face. You felt ridiculous.
Before you could succeed in your search, you heard another knock at the door, expecting Namjoon but finding a soaking wet- "Jin!"
"Yah, Y/N!" He scolded feebly, eyes wide, sounding more scared than upset. You could tell he had been genuinely worried. "Y-You sounded so scared over the phone, and then the connection was suddenly cut off..” You could also tell he was a bit out of it.
"Sorry!" You exclaimed, feeling how drenched Jin was in his black hoodie. He walked in and closed the door behind him, taking in a breath as if he was exhausted and taking of his hood. The ends of his hair were wet and sticking to his face and back of his neck. "My phone broke.. Or well I broke it.." you stayed as if you were guilty. "Sorry I made you come all the way over here.. I didn't know you would get so worried that you'd.. well, in the pouring rain and.. I mean it's lightning outside, Jin! Why'd you come over?"
He was unzipping his hoodie now, causing you to notice that his inside shirt was a little damp.
Another flash of lightning. You braced yourself this time by squeezing your eyes shut. Jin, who was right in front of you, your forehead inches from his chest, calmly placed his hands over your ears before you had the chance to. Despite his collected demeanor, he shook a little. You couldn't tell if it was him shivering from the cold or because of the thunder.
"I was worried because I know how much you hate thunder.. You just never called me before.. I didn't want you to be alone," he stated quietly. It was a statement Jin made very affectionately, allowing you to feel some sort of assurance that he was trying to take care of you, even though he may not have known what he was trying to say.
You smiled at the floor, his hands still cupped around your ears. Taking both his hands, you placed them back at their sides and quickly ran to your room. You returned with a hoodie he had lent you awhile ago. It was in the bottom drawer of your desk, but you admitted you took it out every once in awhile when you missed Jin the most. Fortunately he had been away to make you feel like that for awhile. There was something about him that always lingered, made you feel looked over and cared after constantly.
You conveniently returned back to your room, continuing your search for your flashlight. You didn't really need it, and you had only used one for some kind of comfort which you didn't really need while Jin was here, but you needed something to do instead of blush and wait for Jin to change his t-shirt. He would have secretly waited for you to be not be paying attention until he did anyway, even if that would have given him only twenty seconds.
Jin was now in his hoodie, sitting at the edge of your bed, as you pulled out the flashlight you really didn't need from under your bed. You had to admit it was more of a challenge than it should have been.
He just looked at you, a little affectionately, a small smiling playing at the edges of his lips, as you tried really hard to keep yourself calm with the thunder. Though you had to admit it was easier with Jin present. You looked at him and noticed the wet ends of his hair and the soft look on his face that never seemed to leave.
You two didn't really have to talk to enjoy each other's company. Especially now when Jin knew all you needed was for him to be there. It was for something actually quite small, a little quirk about you, but it made you appreciate him a lot more.
Suddenly, you heard another knock at the door, a subtle resemblance of the banging thunder outside. It was so startling, you jumped a bit, but Jin almost leapt of the bed in terror.
The knocking continued, and you noticed him lean over on both his hands on the floor, taking in a sigh of relief. You couldn’t help but laugh, placing an extra blanket on him. He wrapped it around himself and sat up, his face distraught. You couldn’t help but take in the moment.
Before you could get the door, he stood up determinedly, “I’ll get it,” he stopped you.
“It’s probably Namjoon, to return my flashlight,” you followed after him.
“Who is Namjoon? And why does he have your flashlight?” He questioned, exasperated. Jin opened the door, to find an apologetic looking Namjoon.
“Oh-“ he was caught off guard, “Hey, Y/N. Thanks for letting me borrow your flashlight, I found mine.”
Jin just shook his head in acknowledgement. “No problem,” you said behind Jin, and he closed the door, seemingly annoyed.
You were confused for a moment, until you realized he was just upset over the fact that Namjoon had scared him.
You thought his pouting was a bit cute, and as he turned to go back to your room, you were about to tease him. You looked at Jin, scrunching up your nose, and he returned a soft look, easing the tenseness in his face. Without warning, a crack of thunder split through the air and you both flinched.
Jin immediately grabbed your hand, yelling a short “woo” as he dashed back to your room and then launched onto your bed. Nervously giggling, you quickly followed and fit yourself in the space between Jin and your desk.
He just wrapped your blanket around you and hugged you. His shoulders were so broad and his embrace so big, you fit perfectly and completely in his arms.
You wrapped your arms around his waist as tightly as you could, and somehow you both ended up like that on your bed, completely wrapped up in each other. The storm still remained steady, but you were completely fine, listening to Jin talk about things like what he was going to for his next EatJin, the misbehaviors of Odeng and Eomuk, or how you really should play with Mochi more so he wasn't so grumpy with you, because of course the cat liked Jin more than you. For awhile you were both facing each other, breathing and laughing over the smallest things Jin said or how you had spontaneously and wistfully (over the idea of being able to actually cook) whispered, "Teach me how to cook," while you were listening to him in the same space.
After awhile, Jin had turned on his back, just staring at the ceiling, while you were right up against him and his right arm was under your head and playing with your hair, his free hand behind his head. The whole time he never ceased to soothe you with the sound of his talking, and you him with your soft laughs, until you both had completely calmed. Eventually you both were sleeping as soundly as children, totally relaxed, hearts light by soaking in the presence of each other.

A/N: so this is a little bite-sized fluff I wrote a long time ago (like years, ahah). but I like re-reading it when I need something soft (or just jin). it’s perfect for summer-y, rainy nights, so i thought i’d share, enjoy~ ♥♥
Today was the day.
A deep, anxious sigh flowed from your parted lips as you rehearsed exactly what you’d say and how you’d say it in your head. “I’m gonna do it-” You said to yourself, slightly trying to hype yourself up. “I can do this. If he doesn’t feel the same-”
Before you could even finish your sentence, there were three heavy knocks at your door. Your stomach seemed to knot up as you froze in place for a second as you gather the courage to answer the door.
As you now stood in front of the door, your heart began to race as you opened it. “H- Hey.” You stuttered as soon as Namjoon’s eyes met yours.
God was he gorgeous, holy crap.
His eyes lit up immediately, that warm smile of his painted across his face as he walked in; shutting the door behind him.
“Hey, love.” He cooed, enveloping you in his arms- gently rocking you from side to side.
Okay... it’s now or never...
Immediately, you found yourself wriggle free from his embrace, “Look.” You began, avoiding eye contact with him as you felt his curious gaze burning into you. “I need to tell you something, and if I don’t do it now I won’t have the courage to do it any other time...”
As soon as you forced yourself to peer up at him, your eyes locked with his; his cheeks flushed a bright rosy hue, just as yours were.
He nodded, pressing his lips together as he visibly became nervous.
“I know I’m probably going to ruin our friendship by saying all this, but I need to-” You continued, tears already started to well up in the corners of your eyes as your heart felt heavy. “-I need to know how you feel about me...”
“What- What are you saying y/n?” He asks, his words seem to be caught in his throat as he looks down at you.
His heart pounded in his chest as he saw the tears swell in your eyes, he’d never seen you look as vulnerable and fragile as you did at this very moment. Frankly, you took every bit of his breath away; you were just so precious.
A few of your tears broke free and delicately streamed down your cheeks, as you softly sniffled before speaking.
“I love you, Namjoon...” You finally confessed, “You’ve been my best friend for so long and you’re the only one I feel safe and just- good with...”
His heart swelled with this feeling of pure joy, not even a second later he pulled you into his arms; repeatedly kissing the top of your head.
“Shh..” He hummed, kissing your forehead as you attempted to speak again. “I love you too y/n...” He cooed, gently cupping your chin between his fingers- bringing your meek gaze up to him.
There was nothing but a complete mix of shock and joy in your eyes as you locked eyes with the boy of your dreams.
“I’ve loved you for so long-” His forehead rested on yours, as his hand moved from your chin to your cheek; gently caressing it as he sighed as if a huge weight were being lifted off of him. “- For so long.
“I fell in love with you the day we sat out at the Han River and watched the sunset together. The way you just glowed made me feel like I was looking at an angel...”
“-My angel. Y/n, you’re so precious to me, I want to just stay by your side. You’re the girl of my dreams.”

Taehyung was nice to everybody. Everyone who met him instantly fell in love with his quirky personality and he became friends with almost everyone he met.
You were no exception.
The sound of the elevator dinged as the doors slid open.
“Oh, Y/N!” You giggled at the sound of his voice. It was weird. His voice was deep and mature, yet his tone...the way he spoke...it was sweet, almost childlike.
Your laughter distracted you so much that the various amount of grocery bags in your hand managed to slip away from your grasp. Luckily, Taehyung lunged forward and caught them before the floor of the hallway became a makeshift produce section.
“Woah, are you okay?” He was asking you if you were okay despite the fact that he was the one who practically dove onto the floor to save your bagged vegetables.
“Oh my...here let me...” You began as you reached for the bag in his hand, but instead he took all the bags that you were holding onto. He turned around and started to make his way down the hall,
“T-Taehyung! Where are you going?” Quickly, you paced after him,
“Your apartment.”
“Why?”
“Because you need to get the groceries back to your place, right?”
“Yeah...but why are you carrying them?”
“They looked heavy.”
“Weren’t you leaving though?”
He shrugged, “Eh...the guys won’t mind if I’m a few minutes late.”
You had to admit, when you first moved into your apartment, you’d never think that you’d be living next to BTS. In fact, you didn’t know you were living next to them until one night when you got home really late from work. Imagine the surprise you felt when you arrived at the front door of your apartment and found Taehyung entering the unit across from yours.
When you got to your door, you put in your pass code and you had him put down all the groceries in the hyeon gwan*.
“Thanks, Taehyung. You really didn’t need to carry them for me.”
“Oh, it was no problem,” His box-like smile arose on his face. It made your heart flutter every time you saw it.
But that was also why it made your heart hurt.
Another one of your neighbors came out, and greeted you and Taehyung. Immediately Taehyung turned his attention from you to the elderly woman. He smiled brightly at her as well and spoke to her with the same sort of friendly atmosphere.
You quietly retreated to the confines of your own apartment, not bothering to say bye since you didn’t want to disrupt his conversation with your neighbor.
It hurt whenever you saw him smile with others and laugh with others and have fun with others because he was the same way with you. You were no different from the others.
You wanted him to smile at you with a different level of fondness. You wanted him to look at you and see you as someone more than just a name in his list of endless phone contacts.
You wanted to be different...more than different...you wanted to be his, but you didn’t know how.
note* = a hyeon gwan is the equivalent of the Japanese “genkan”, the area where the shoes are kept
➵ For my AMAZING, TALENTED, FUNNY, CARING bby @donttellme-byebye!! Tomorrow is her birthday, and this is a pre-birthday present :) A much bigger and better scenario is soo to come, so look forward. This is just a drabble without any editing, so please forgive any errors. Enjoy~
There’s a certain joy to be had in waking up from a nap with your head humming and your stomach happily hungry. Especially when the nap is actually an entire REM cycle and a completed assignment sits in front of you.
You stretch your arms while walking to the bathroom, praying for there to be no imprints of the desk on your cheek. Thankfully, you find only a faint mark of the textbook’s edge on your forehead.
You wash your face and brush. But that’s it. Everything else after having a proper breakfast. One for the first time in weeks, too.
But it’s evident you’ll have to shower and dress up, when you throw open the fridge in readiness to make some well-deserved mac and cheese only to find an egg, two tangerines and the crusts of a pizza long consumed.
As much as you’d rather order takeout and nap until it arrives, you make yourself trudge over to the bathroom yet again, and strip off last night’s clothes.
You notice the post-it on the wall only when you’re finally blow drying your hair. Only a felt marker heart is drawn on it. What is this boy up to? You pluck it, careful of not getting it soggy with your damp fingers. A smile remains on your face even when you grab your wallet and begin tying your shoelaces.
You find the next note under the bowl of keys beside the door. On it present are two hearts and an arrow pointing at the door. Where is this silly boy?
You grab the note and the keys and head out. You lock the door and stop in your tracks the moment you take one step down the stairs. Because you just stepped on the red ‘X’ taped to the first step, and you also noticed the single blue balloon tied to the stairs leading up. The smile widens into a grin.
Once you make it up a landing, you’re outright giggling. The rest of the way up to the terrace are balloons, slowly increasing in size. You’re practically gliding up the stairs at this point.
You take exactly one deep inhale before flinging the door open with enough force to crack the plaster.
Warm hands envelope your eyes before you can process anything at all. Delicious tingles go along your back when a voice you know oh-so-well whispers into your ear, “Morning babe, happy birthday.”
It all comes crashing down in that one millisecond and you cover your mouth with a loud gasp. Of course. You swivel around in place, and Taehyung’s hands shift position to glide over your waist. You wrap your arms around his neck, and bring your head to rest on his chest. In this one moment, both of your heartbeats match up to universal precision. It’s genuinely instances like these which bring you the most bliss.
Taking your silence as a cue, Taehyung murmurs, making your entire head vibrate while doing so, “I noticed you were so busy for the past few weeks, so I thought you’d like it to be just us for today.” You can feel his smile as he presses his lips to your forehead. You can also feel the same smile replicating on your own lips.
With tender movements, he turns you to face the terrace again. The subtle morning sun acting as the backdrop, he’s laid out a picnic enough to feed an army. You can’t help your hands from quivering from joy.
You try your best to fight the tears off and manage to croak, “Thank you. Really. I…I really can’t. I forgot. I forgot about today, Tae. And you… I…” All you can do is laugh at this whole situation.
His hands wipe away the tears before you can even realize they were rolling down your cheeks. His hands remain cupped around your cheek. “I knew you’d forget, dweeb. What else am I here for though?
The grin doesn’t leave your lips the entire day, and neither does your gratitude. You don’t know how many times you’ll have to repeat your thanks to be satisfied. But again, you have all eternity to so.
A/N: GO WISH @donttellme-byebye TOMORROW WITHOUT FAIL. SHOWER HER WITH ALL YOUR LOVE, AND MAKE FEEL LIKE A PRINCESS PLEASE!
"I mean, I should know by now. They tell us all our lives that you have to choose a career and…follow it through and get a job but,"
Tae shakes his head.
"I don't buy it."
"I mean look at it this way, I'm a music major. You're a music major. What the fuck are we gonna do after this? I don't know, but I'm glad I was able to make music with you, Y/N."
You pause.
"Even if I didn't get the scholarship?"
"Yes, even if you didn't get the scholarship."
A few moments pass between you where you're simply being held by him in his bedroom. The calm is interrupted by an abrupt thought.
"Why are you so nice to me?"
Taehyung is often the most judgemental of the music department. He's often the one who gives out the most criticisms and isn't necessarily looked upon favorably within particular groups of people.
"I, uh…"
"It's kinda just a vibe. You talked to me first. I was shy and I had a…huge ass ego in the beginning of the semester, but,"
"You changed that, kinda. You made me become…something I couldn't have ever anticipated."
You turn your head to look at him. He doesn't meet your eyes. "So we're just…" you trail.
"We're just…us. I guess," he confirms.
"Just us."
